### 2/5 — Just updated, can’t login

*2025-11-29, version 2.1.11*

Updated and now can’t login. Email and password correct. Login button changes to logging in then reverts back to login

### 2/5 — Mobile App is not as good as their website

*2025-09-19, version 2.1.8*

Sept2025: The mobile app has so many glitches from playlist freezing. To if you make a playlist on the mobile versus the official website you cant lock it so a client can’t download a record. The website tho is pretty realiable but there needs tweaks but it is secure.

### 3/5 — Could be great with a few tweaks

*2025-09-08, version 2.1.7*

Very useful on the whole for previewing and listening. Channels don’t seem to sync across web and app which is a little frustrating. Good potential.

### 3/5 — Improving

*2025-04-03, version 2.1.2*

I love DISCO services and how they’re working to better the app experience. Bug patch updates are a bit hit or miss- most recent update has caused my tracks to say “Processing” with a “?” Image instead of just loading correctly. Currently unusable, but I suspect this will go away quickly. Two system features that need work are the inability to add or change cover art within the app and the inability to access/create unique URLs for sharing within the app. Can’t wait for what this will become!

### 2/5 — Update is not an improvement

*2025-03-30, version 2.1.1*

I’m really frustrated with the DISCO app update. It eliminated the ability to set a custom URL for link sharing ( the old app at least let you share an existing url, but the ability to make a new one would be more useful). And there’s no way to access my starred playlists, which I have carefully curated on the website. Those were the features I used the most. Getting the songs to actually play is a continuing issue, although that has slightly improved. The ability to loop a song or playlist would be helpful.

### 3/5 — Lacking features

*2025-02-20, version 2.1.1*

The customer service is amazing. The web browser platform is alright but a bit of a head scratcher, The app is ok at best. The app is just another management platform where you can stream and share like a lot of apps out there can. Would be nice to be able to add contacts offline in the app. Going back and forth to add a contact online is a chore and I’m not waiting until I have a bulk of them to export then import a csv. Would also be nice to have the full playlist editing features like being able to upload cover art for a playlist or track. Can’t do much in the app.

### 3/5 — Almost great

*2025-02-15, version 2.1.1*

Keeps glitching and skipping back and forth through songs on a playlist for a second each when trying to play one

### 2/5 — Desktop great, mobile still needs work

*2025-01-23, version 2.0.0*

Somehow the playback has gotten even worse after finally fixing all the UI issues. I’ll give props where it’s deserved, the ui has gotten significantly better but why does my audio stop or start whenever I enter the app? It’s crazy how a platform so ahead on everything professional music is fumbling this hard on mobile

### 3/5 — Broken scaling

*2025-01-08, version 1.0.27*

Seems to have all the functionality I would want for the mobile client but it doesn’t scale properly on my iPhone 16 so there’s buttons I can’t press as they’re behind the status bar. Please fix ASAP as the app is currently unusable

### 2/5 — Needs improvement for Mobile!!!

*2024-10-24*

The mobile app is horrible, it constantly freezes, glitches and seems extremely outdated ! I love Disco however on the web browser game changing. They still need to work on implementing being able to change a public playlists link if it’s accidentally shared with out one having to create a new playlist.

### 2/5 — Great browser, Lacking features

*2024-10-13, version 1.0.27*

I have been using disco for a few months now and the mobile app is really buggy. And there is no repeat button. Need a better UI for switching between songs. Some of us like to listen on repeat haha!

Mobile app needs a complete redesign, some stuff you cant do on the mobile app but you can do on the browser.

### 2/5 — For the love of all things please fix!

*2024-08-09*

This app has been amazing the past 4 years I’ve had it but my word the past 6-8 months it hasn’t been ON the struggle bus, it’s been DRIVING it! What happened?! Can you pppllleeeaaasssseeeee update? Crashes, no longer saves playlists (in app), CAN’T download tracks/playlists, usually delete and reinstall but have just about given up on the mobile app.

### 2/5 — The app is buggy

*2024-03-06, version 1.0.26*

This support for this app and site is good but it’s way overpriced and too buggy to be worth the exorbitant cost

### 2/5 — Please fix

*2024-03-04, version 1.0.26*

It’s so hard to get it to load and sometimes play the song. The app is so bad and hardly functional sometimes. Very inconsistent.

### 2/5 — New features but old bugs persist

*2024-02-06, version 1.0.25*

Instead of adding new features in the next release, please simply fix the navigation bar at the bottom so it is usable on modern iPhones.

### 3/5 — Excellent service, sub-par app

*2023-12-31, version 1.0.24*

Disco is really great on the browser, very well-thought out and functional. The mobile app has many issues unfortunately. I’m not gonna repeat things I’ve already seen from other reviews here. The main thing currently driving me CRAZY is the fact that it’s not optimized for the iPhone 14 UI, resulting in inability to share a single track rather that an entire playlist. Get it together peeps!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — For the love of all things please fix!

*2026-02-10, version 2.1.11*

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse.
What happened?! Can you pppllleeeaaasssseeeee update? Crashes, no longer saves playlists (in app), CAN’T download tracks/playlists, no usually delete and reinstall but have just about given up on the mobile app. Cant even login as it says “looks like you’re not connected to the internet.” Have deleted and downloaded numerous times. Just hire someone already.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-02-04, version 2.1.11*

The app is so buggy. I always have to make updates on the website instead. You also can’t count on the app to download a playlist so you better have internet if you’re planning to play songs from the app in a meeting. I wish they would stop adding features and just fix the basic functionality.

### 1/5 — Almost great

*2025-10-22, version 2.1.9*

Keeps glitching and skipping back and forth through songs on a playlist for a second each when trying to play one. Not been fixed in a year. Seriously unreliable!! Considering new services.

### 1/5 — So buggy

*2025-06-05, version 2.1.6*

The latest version is completely nonfunctional. I can't get it to do anything at all. Incredibly frustrating.

### 1/5 — Dropped the ball

*2025-04-07, version 2.1.2*

The app is basically useless now.. which is the main reason i paid for this.. refund??

### 1/5 — Home button doesn’t work

*2025-01-13, version 1.0.27*

This app is a hellish shell of its web version. The Home button hasn’t worked in months, if anything at all it just refreshes whatever I was already viewing. So I can’t just see my list of playlists, I have to go searching specifically for the track or playlist I want. Then the app randomly starts playing often over half an hour after the last time I used it. Very embarrassing in a mass or meeting. Making updates to playlist often doesn’t save, or it just refuses to move certain tracks into certain slots on the playlist. I’ve switched back to SoundCloud, which I’m pleased has come a long way since I last used it.

### 1/5 — Super glitchy app

*2023-12-15*

This app glitched tremendously the first day I downloaded it. It forces me to log in each time I want to use the app. Most people use the website version to upload files from their computer but some us want to stream those files on our phones. This app could be top tier if it was promoted properly and the glitches were fixed.

### 1/5 — Constantly Crashing

*2022-09-20, version 1.0.16*

This app crashes every 5 minutes. Horrible app development from DISCO. It’s nearly unusable.

### 1/5 — Just a white screen

*2021-02-01, version 1.0.3*

App won’t open

### 2/5 — A Semi-Dependable Necessity

*2026-04-15, version 2.1.11*

DISCO is great for compiling your work, adding descriptors, and having a professional look. However, it’s really frustrating that this whole ecosystem is not more dependable with it being the preferred delivery system of. Several entities in the visual media industry. For three months, I have not been able to access the playlist or files through the app while the. Notifications have a 50% chance of working every day. This becomes even more frustrating because the website freezes and or become this unacceptable 30% of the time no matter what device you use while the app seems to be largely inaccessible 50 to 60% of the time. This is concerning because we’re paying money for a service that’s supposed to help make our life easy but it’s creating road blocks, especially when submissions can be due within an hour or two but you can’t access any of your links unless you use the website; assuming that the website isn’t having issues.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — monicamusic67

*2025-12-31, version 2.1.11*

love disco. app has gotten better over the years but could still use some love. don't like the playlist icons just give me something simple that always works please.

### 5/5 — Great App!!!

*2025-02-06, version 2.1.0*

Really is a more than useful app and their support is super helpful.

### 5/5 — Proselytizing DISCO to all of my colleagues

*2024-08-11, version 1.0.27*

As a composer and songwriter, especially when pitching for sync placements in TV and film, DISCO has become an essential tool.

I love the convenience of sending playlist links while on the go. I can quickly create a playlist from my phone and even upload directly to the app.

I use DISCO for all my compositions and collaborations. It’s incredibly useful for sending playlists to my choreographers, who use them as their music player during rehearsals. The easy-to-use online interface is perfect for this! I also use playlists to store both sheet music and MIDI recordings for my operas, allowing me to send everything in one beautiful, organized playlist to my musicians and vocalists (not to mention, the playlist themes and contact info at the bottom are SO professional looking). It’s truly a game changer, especially since I can send these links quickly from anywhere.

There is certainly room for improvement, I’d love to see the music player on the app function more like Spotify or Apple Music. However, being able to listen to my demos in the car has already made a significant impact.

I also wish the app’s metadata interface was a bit more user-friendly, but it generally gets the job done. But I believe DISCO has every intention of continuing to improve and I am a diehard fan.

The customer service is fantastic—I feel like I actually know the team!

Overall, I’m thrilled with DISCO. I keep finding more things to like about it. I upgraded to an artist membership with unlimited tracks, and this platform is seriously challenging even the likes of Dropbox.

LOVE IT.

### 5/5 — Love it so pumped!

*2020-08-11, version 1.0*

Yo so pumped the app is finally here.

Just went through it and it kicks ass!!! Thank you and stoked I can work out disco on the phone.

### 5/5 — Best app for music industry professionals

*2020-06-19, version 1.0*

I can’t imagine doing my job without DISCO.
All my tracks and media files are always with me in my pocket ready to listen, search and send to clients.

### 5/5 — DISCO is the most best

*2020-06-18, version 1.0*

If you care about yourself, your music, your business, your time, your cash flow, and perhaps even how your workflow impacts your colleagues in the music industry as a whole, you’ll get this app, you’ll invest in the very reasonable cost at whatever tier of membership makes sense for your uses, and your life with pretty much immediately get less annoying. It’s the industry standard for good reason. Especially in music licensing, but also great for simply organizing your music catalog in a way that’s accessible, lightweight, and intuitive. The web-based platform links up seamlessly to the mobile app and we’re all grateful they built this thing. How else could we have gotten away with building and pitching playlists while driving? Show me the lie! Get the free trial, you’ll be hooked, and their customer support will help you directly with any questions at pretty much all hours of the day. This is the new(ish) normal. Teeny tiny learning curve. Promise.:)

### 4/5 — Update Ideas

*2023-09-19, version 1.0.23*

I work at a music company that uses disco, it’s a party of my every day existence.

1. On the mobile app, every time I type something into the search bar the app shuts down before I can finish typing what I’m trying to search. EVERY TIME!
2. The bpm counter only auto populates the bpm (correctly) about 60% of the time.
3. A “key finder” feature would be cool (to find the musical key of the song), but I know that’s prolly too complicated.

Otherwise, I love Disco.

### 4/5 — Please allow “Add Tags” & View Email Option on App

*2022-04-05, version 1.0.12*

Can you provide an option to add tags to songs that are uploaded? Also can you allow it to where sender email addresses can be seen if there are music submissions? I noticed that this can be done on the desktop version, but not on the app itself.

### 3/5 — Great when it works right

*2026-03-27, version 2.1.11*

The app is always freezing . Especially when you go to the notifications page and click on what people stream on the playlist it sticks there the back button Won’t work so I always have to wait a long time outside of the app before it refreshes or restart my phone. As a Music professional it’s really annoying when trying to set stuff up to be sent out .

### 3/5 — Disco good, App bad

*2025-09-30, version 2.1.8*

I’m happy with my workflow and space online but my goodness the app just doesn’t work sometimes. Basic stuff like being able to navigate to my different inboxes with just randomly malfunction or simply not work. It is so frustrating because I could really use some reliability behind some of these features on my mobile :/
