After months of waiting for a solution they told me they couldn’t give me a refund. Very unprofessional.. would not trust them with my money again. ### 1/5 — SCAM SCAM SCAM *2024-05-26, version 8.0.17* They absolutely lied about their ability to put people on the guest list. Waste of a download. Only want to let women in so honestly I am suspicious of their general intentions if they’re going to kick all men I know off of the list and make me go into a suspicious environment alone. I am disgusted ### 1/5 — Do not use their table service in Vegas *2019-08-27* We booked a table at Jewel nightclub in Vegas for $1000. During the reservation discotech recommend to to hire a host and we did hire one as recommended. For $1000 table the total was coming out to be $1637. This was the first red flag as it was falsely advertised on app. I had organized a fantasy football after draft party and my friends flew from all around the country. I got a message 15 min before we were supposed to go to club that table price has been increased to $1500 and once we got to the night club they said that price has been increased to $2500 without being apologetic at all. Seemed like a take it or leave it deal and we were being cornered. We ended up going to club after paying $75 entry fee which I could have purchased for discount in advance. We had a horrible night due to this experience. Overall we felt like people managing our reservation were very dishonest and they wanted to make money by exploiting your situation. **Developer response:** Hello, really sorry you had a negative experience at the door and your expectations were not met; here is more insight on what happened that evening. We receive pricing from clubs weekly - sometimes daily - from the top marketing directors at each of our partner venues, so it is at accurate as the public can have access to. That being said, no pricing is EVER guaranteed, and any source who offers you a 100% guarantee on any pricing or availability is not being truthful. As mentioned in the FAQ of our website, all clubs reserve the right to change the table prices for any option on the fly and at their whim whenever demand suits them. In some cases - rare but it does happen - clubs can even change the prices on you at the door after they have already come to a verbal agreement with you (and even taken your deposit), and if you don't match the elevated price they just bump you down to a lower tier for your price if they have other customers walking up outbidding you for your tier. That has nothing to do with Discotech, the app, or our booking processes - this can happen regardless of what channel you go through to book, EVEN going direct through the club itself. It's all up to the whim of the club's VIP director that night and whether he wants to do honor his word that he gave us and you weeks prior, or go back on it in the interest of making more money. It's certainly not good customer service, but it's the law of the jungle at a handful of clubs where demand is extremely high for a certain show or performing artist. That being said, we do empathize with your experience: for your extreme inconvenience, we'd be happy to make it up to you with a comp pair of tickets to a future show or a comp bottle at one of our participating partner venues. We look forward to hearing from you and improving our service and processes! ### 1/5 — Ripped off at 1oak *2018-12-24* Made a resavatuon here for 1oak a 550 minimum table for 3. Got to 1oak it was empty so club manger upgraded our table to a $1500 table for same price. I prepaid for our table soon as I got inside with a $100 tip to start with before the bottle came out.. while we wait for our upgrade my friends buys shoots on 1942 on his card sign and pay and tip. They finally move us to our upgraded table they say they need a extra $200 on top after we paid and tip and the manger said upgrad table for free. I said no way either bring the bottle out or give us back our money. They bring out shoots we did not take the shoots I wanted my money back. Manger kicked us out with out a refund and no bottle. Worst night ever in Vegas really feel we got ripped off. The Manger name is will. I will never booked through this app or go to 1oak again! The mission of the Discotech app is to allow you to conveniently execute accurate and reliable bookings and set your expectations properly. That being said, your customer experience once you arrive at the club and are seated at your table is ENTIRELY in the hands of that third-party venue, and is thus entirely out of our control. While it appears as if the club may have mishandled your service experience when you are in the club, by that time Discotech had already accomplished its objective of a successful reservation booking and check-in for you, so the negative rating you have given us is unwarranted. What happened after you checked in and were seated had to do with bad actor individuals at the venue and nothing to do with Discotech, the app, or our booking processes: while certainly unfortunate, these unforeseen events were independent of the channel you went through to book, and they would have happened that night whether or not Discotech was your booking method. Once we hand you off to check in, it's all up to the whim of the club's VIP director and service staff that night and whether they want to create a great customer experience and treat you right, or go back on that pledge in the interest of making more money. While we agree that your version of the events did not sound like good customer service, we were not present and had no participation in that later part of your night. Information only app. ### 1/5 — Terrible service *2016-07-06, version 5.1* First, just want to say I'm not someone that complains often. I just get on with stuff but I felt I had to review the app and people behind it as I was stunned at how poor the service was. Coming over from the UK for a week I Booked a dance deck cabana for Wet Republic Calvin Harris for my stag do on the Saturday three weeks before hand. I contacted them the day before to check all was in place and ask who I was meeting and where. They hadn't booked table and said they couldn't sort it because it had sold out 8 days ago and said they "overlooked following through on the reservation". I had sorted them my card details three weeks prior to the event knowing it would sell out. Poor service, very unreliable and cost me an extra $500 on top to sort with someone else in the end. Highly recommend using fixers based out in Vegas who you can meet and pay on the night instead. ### 2/5 — Reservation not Honored *2019-09-29, version 7.10.2* I booked a table for an event in Miami. The venue tried moving our reservation to a non-desirable area of the venue. I texted Discotech support, and they didn’t really help out. Leading up to the event, I was sent explicit instructions and followed them. I also confirmed our reservation multiple times with the app. I live far from the venue, and they DID NOT honor our reservation, Discotech couldn’t really rectify the situation either. I’d consider giving them another shot, but how could I assure I’ll get the service I need? The situation wasn’t entirely Discotech’s fault, but I would’ve expected them to help out more. ### 2/5 — Cool if the clubs actually cared about it *2019-07-03, version 7.8.2* Cool idea and handy ... if the clubs honoured the guest list this third party app provides. Tried using it twice, with 0 results. The club would either not acknowledge it, or would and treats it as a “second guest list” if the first one isn’t full. Don’t bother wasting your time on it. ### 2/5 — Solicited by the Help Number! *2018-11-12, version 7.4.2* The app technically worked I guess. Got into a Vegas night club with my friends. However, the number I was supposed to text directly to have someone bring me and my group past the line gave me no response (I assume a promoter). That’s fine, wait wasn’t long. I decided to text the “help number” to ask what I should do if I receive no reply from the promoter and instead of help I got asked to send a picture of myself, got asked if I was a lesbian, and got asked if I could help them out to buy a $50 iTunes gift card. What the...!?! Felt so uncomfortable. Blocked the help number. Everything was super easy to figure out, instructions were clear, and made for a great night. I’ll definitely be using this in the future for guest list or purchasing tickets for upcoming shows. The upcoming schedule feature is awesome too for keeping an eye on upcoming events.
