Can AirPlay a show until the first commercial plays, then gives the error. Every single episode you can’t finish. Discovery has always been part of my subscription plan, and I watched Moonshiners just last night on my Optimum cable tv. This needs to be fixed. Hard to believe such shoddy coding persists in 2024. ### 4/5 — Can’t navigate the app! *2024-04-29, version 8.47.0* Just installed DiscoveryGo on my Apple TV box to try and get more episodes of America’s Backyard Gold - which showed up in the app on my iPad, but were not showing up on my YouTube TV subscription. I linked my YouTube TV subscription as requested. I can NOT navigate in the app AT ALL with my brand new Apple TV remote which works perfectly in every other app! How does this app have 4.7stars?!!! All I see is reviews giving one star and stating how terrible it is. What a crushing disappointment! Worthless!!! One star because I can’t give no stars! Update: After watching one episode of the above-mentioned program using screen mirroring from my iPad, I decided to try the app on the Apple box again. I was able to navigate this time. No idea why it started working. The star reduction on the new rating is because the commercial breaks are soooooo looong! Might as well be watching regular network tv. Except that on a regular network recorded show I can fast forward through the commercials. On Discovery Go I’m forced to play them all. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2026-07-10, version 9.7.0* I have had both the discovery apps both the free and the one you pay for and they are both absolutely garbage. Get 10-15 minutes thru a show and it drops right out. Or you can’t even cast to a tv. Before any key board warrior say oh update this or update that; every device is up to date with the most recent update. The one you have to pay for A you shouldn’t have to pay for and does the same thing. ### 1/5 — Just Spins When I Try To Link *2026-05-03, version 9.5.0* This app does not want to connect to my provider (Philo). It just spins when I try to link. It has worked in the past, but not now. ### 1/5 — TV provider requires even if you have discovery already *2025-12-26, version 9.4.0* Even if you already pay for Discovery, and haven’t other TV Providers, they require you have specific additional subscription to approved TV provider to have access to all Discovery GO library. This is absurd. Highly recommend you compare to any of the other all-in-one providers, that don’t try to separate services in such unethical ways. Shameful. ### 1/5 — Why *2025-11-24, version 9.4.0* F! I should be able to make rating decisions if the app is AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! BUT it won’t let me unless it’s attached to my tv provider! Well I don’t have a tv provider I’m using internet connection cause it’s cheaper! So I’m uninstalling it from my tv for this reason. ### 1/5 — Something went wrong *2025-07-11, version 9.2.0* Near impossible to finish an episode as the streams always error out, usually on ads, and you are unable to continue watching the actual show. ### 1/5 — Not functional on Apple TV. *2025-07-07, version 9.2.0* App does not work on Apple TV 2nd Gen firmware 18.5. Most everything is locked & it says “this channel is not part of your package” but it most definitely is. The help chat bot just says to sign out & sign back in with no explanation statement as to what the trouble is. If signing out & signing back in doesn’t work there is no other help. It all feels like false claims about what the go app actually is & does. ### 1/5 — Worst app constantly crashes *2025-05-10, version 9.2.0* Title says it all !!!!!! ### 1/5 — Not worth downloading *2025-04-03, version 9.1.0* I down loaded this app to watch old episodes of moonshiners. I was able to watch old seasons which was great even with commercials, now the app only allows me to view 2 seasons of moonshiners.
