## What is Discrobble?

The fastest way to scrobble your Discogs collection to Last.fm.

Discrobble is a single-purpose app for collectors who want their physical-music listening to count. Vinyl, CDs, cassettes, box sets: anything in your Discogs collection. Tap a button and the album you just played lands in your Last.fm history with the right artist, album, and tracklist, pulled straight from Discogs so the metadata is right.

— HOW IT WORKS —

1. Connect your Last.fm and Discogs accounts.
2. Discrobble syncs your Discogs collection: your records, dates added, formats, cover art.
3. Find the album you're playing. Tap Scrobble.
4. The album's tracks are submitted to Last.fm with realistic timestamps, the way streaming services do.

That's the whole loop. There are no friend feeds, no discovery algorithm, and no notifications.

Each album in your collection gets a page with the cover, the tracklist, a short introduction from Wikipedia when one exists, how many copies are for sale on Discogs right now with the lowest price, and when you last scrobbled it.

Two more sections are there if you want them, switched on in Settings:

• Your Discogs rating, editable with a tap.
• Your Discogs collection notes, editable in the app.

The marketplace section can be switched off in the same place.

Multi-disc sets can be scrobbled one disc or one side at a time instead of the whole album. When Discogs is missing track durations, Discrobble fills them in from Last.fm so the timestamps line up. Collections with well over a thousand items sync fine: every Discogs request comes from your own device, so you're never sharing a rate limit with other people's apps, and the app slows itself down before Discogs has to tell it to.

Pull to refresh picks up new additions, catches anything you've removed, and always tells you what it found.

Discrobble runs natively on iPad. The collection grid shows more albums per row, and the album page puts the cover and tracklist side by side. Your recent scrobbles sync through your account, so what you played on one device shows up on the other.

### 5/5 — Streamlined Vinyl Scrobbling

I really like how simple, streamlined, and responsive this app is. I’m listening to my entire record collection in alphabetical order, and I tried out a handful of other apps that have Discog  / Last fm integrations so I could track my place. Most of them had a bunch of extraneous features I wasn’t that into. This app is to the point. It’s easy to find an album and log it. Takes like 2 seconds.

I love that it’s not a subscription. I love that you get a try before you buy period to see how it works. I also love how quick / responsive the developer is. I had commented on their post how it’d be nice to have a notes section, and that got added on the next update.

A bug fix / performance release. Pull-to-refresh is way more reliable (and helpful) now.

• The "Syncing…" message no longer gets stuck. Every refresh now ends with a result: up to date, what was added or removed, or what went wrong.
• If Discogs is rate-limiting you, the app says so and waits, then gives up after a few tries instead of trying forever.
• Syncing uses half as many Discogs requests, so you're far less likely to hit the rate limit in the first place.
• Only one sync runs at a time. Refresh from Settings, the weekly check, and pull-to-refresh now take turns instead of tripping over each other.
• If your Discogs collection is private, pull-to-refresh tells you how to fix it instead of failing quietly.

Discrobble 1.3.6 brings your Discogs collection notes into the app. Turn on "Show collection notes" in Settings and the notes you've written for a record on Discogs show up on its album page, where you can edit them too. This update also fixes a crash some people hit in the collection grid.

- See and edit your Discogs collection notes on the album page. Tap the notes to open an editor, and clearing the text removes the note on Discogs. Off by default; switch it on under Settings › Display.
- Fixed a crash in the collection grid that could happen while a sync was removing an album you'd taken out of your collection on Discogs.
- Added a small note in Settings asking for an App Store rating. It's just a link, it never pops up, and it means a lot if you tap it.

### 1.3.5 — 2026-08-02

Fixed: Some compilation albums failed to scrobble with "Failed — Tap to retry." When Discogs doesn't list artists for individual tracks, Discrobble now finds them in the release credits instead of submitting "Various" — which Last.fm silently rejects. Scrobble failures also now show the actual reason instead of a generic error.

Artist names now scrobble correctly for acts that Discogs tags with a number to distinguish same-named artists (e.g. "Destroyer (4)" now scrobbles as "Destroyer").

Album pages now show how many copies are for sale on the Discogs Marketplace and the lowest price, with a tap straight to the listings. Handy for seeing what a record is worth or finding another copy. You can turn it off in Settings.
