Si vas a gastar $ Debes saber es mejor en iPad y con mando está en inglés el juego. Not being able to quick save while in the item world means you have to either get to the next 10x level or waste a gency if you have to put your phone down for whatever reason -- otherwise the game will get terminated and you'll have to revert to your last save. ### 4/5 — Glorious: only one problem *2023-05-03, version 1.0.3* I love this game but the problem is that I can’t play music from other apps while this one is running like an audiobook. ### 3/5 — Awful Controls and Glitchy Auto Battle *2023-02-07* Disgaea is a great game, but unfortunately the mobile implementation does it no favors for reasons that should have been blatantly obvious during development. The touch controls are way too janky, which might be mitigated by auto battle feature, if auto battle worked as advertised. Setting gate priority doesn’t actually target the gate until your char has killed like half the map in the item world. Even with gate priority on and a gate reachable on the very first turn, your character will run past it to fight some random mob and get swarmed first. Even at this price point I would have gotten Disgaea 4 now that it’s out if it weren’t for these issues, but nope, looks like they repeated their mistakes all over I can’t figure out for the life of me why they didn’t include a dpad option for the control scheme, 90% of the free junk in the App Store has it and yet a full console port can’t? ### 4/5 — All time great on mobile *2023-01-25* Probably one of my favourite games of all time, since I first discovered it on the PS2. Since then it has appeared on many platforms. If you’re a fan of the genre and haven’t yet discovered it, it is a delight, full of depth, charm and humour. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. This version is very good, the full game with great graphics and well-implemented touch controls. If I were to criticise, sometimes selection of characters etc can be fiddly, and I noticed in the item world a double tap to select would sometimes jump the cursor to the edge of the map. The game supports a controller. Which is great as it is the quickest and most natural method for me after years of play, but unfortunately not all interface elements seem to be accessible - eg the quick visit button bottom left, the settings menu, and the status button, when shown alone. Shame, but otherwise a welcome addition. With these small caveats in mind, a fantastic game, deserving of its premium price. Hopefully we’ll see many more Nippon Ichi games given the same treatment. ### 3/5 — Full Controller Support would make it better *2022-09-14, version 1.0.3* I’ve been a big fan of Disgaea ever since it first came out on the PlayStation 2, which was played with a controller and I feel it’s entirely possible to give this game full controller support, meaning the ability to adjust which buttons do what. Considering the games price I don’t think that’s too much of a stretch for the developers to add this as a feature. ### 3/5 — Super *2022-02-20* Super, j’adore ce jeu à l’époque ! Très bon portage. You had to grind for the alternate endings, grind for Aetna mode, grind to world boss 100. The problem is... well: Auto-battle makes it so you don’t actually have to play the game. Now the game is fun, and I don’t mean in that “it gets better” sense, but I can’t think of a single justification for actually playing 150+ maps instead of letting the AI do it. This isn’t the cutting edge of tactical play anymore. It’s a port of a ~20 year old game. There are better options. And you can enjoy those options while letting the AI play for you. Or you could save 30 bucks and buy current-gen tactical games on Steam. Heck, you can probably pick up D4 for that price. Val’s a better overlord anyway. Yeah, I said it! This would be a 5 star game if I could somehow recover my save. As it sits, I can’t recommend this game. ### 1/5 — Has some sever bugs *2025-02-10, version 1.0.3* After about 70 hours of game play, was grinding itemworld to kill ba’al. Piere got replaced by data shop, lost my lvl 100 Arcadia, and didn’t notice before I saved. Deleted the game. For me, that is not the case. Pressing the “cloud save” button crashes the entire game. Issues like this aren’t acceptable on a game with a 32 dollar price tag. How do I resolve this? ### 1/5 — Rating the App, not the game *2020-07-19* Disgaea is hands down my favorite tactical RPG. Story, characters, game mechanics. I find them all very enjoyable. I’ve bought the game on multiple platforms and would do it again. My problem is the app itself. The most important and biggest problem I have is the game crashing. I’ve installed updates, rebooted, lowered graphic settings, and the game still crashes. Other things that could use some touching up is streamlining movement during combat while using the touch screen and viewing enemy stats. Perhaps for movement there can be a drag function... may help. Maybe a press and hold on an enemy to view its movement range and stat sheet; clicking anything else afterwords would back out of that. UI... I honestly feel that a lot of the item equipping and such can be consolidated down to one tab. No reason to have a separate stat page and a separate equip page. Also, when looking at the mentor pupil page it lists no character name, so I have to select the stat tab just to see who I’m viewing. Shop UI, most things are manageable, but the selling is not. It’s nearly unbearable using the touch screen. It’s nice I can sell everything based off of rarity, but there are some common stuff I’d like to keep. It’d be nice to just have the ability to go down my inventory checking things off I’d like to sell. Everything is tolerable; the game crashing is not. It makes it unplayable. Thus, I’m being prevented from playing a game I truly enjoy. ### 1/5 — Good but not worth the current price *2020-02-15* As title says. It’s an alright game just not worth the price it’s asking for at all. The 8x speed and auto battle are both a blessing and a curse. Makes it amazing for item world when you really can’t be bothered going through hundreds of repetitive floors but the game is over in a flash when you use it. Completed main game and most post game in less than one day of playing. Finished up post game on another day. So a day and half of gameplay (at a push) for the price they want? Not worth it in the slightest. Also an error with some of monster designs where they not displayed properly and are just a square of weird green lines. The game that’s short that the issue isnt even going to affect me because I’m already finished with it and have literally nothing left to do in the game. I’ve seen $2.99 games with more content and longer spam of life than this. The auto battle option is pretty good, but sometimes the ai won’t throw others, geo symbols, or enemies to strategize in a few levels, and the grinding system is great too. I like when I can put my phone under my pillow while I sleep, and the next morning, laharl is level 9999. It can be hard sometimes with screen space being obviously smaller than the PS2 screens it was originally intended for, but somehow the developers made this work.
