Not a great start. ### 2/5 — Terrible app *2026-04-17* Made a booking. So decided to download the app. It doesn’t have an option to sign into account. So trying to create the account it just freezes. Doesn’t move forward. Awful app ### 3/5 — When it works it’s good but…. *2026-03-14, version 9.3.13* I cannot get the app to work after trying many refreshes and uninstalling and reinstalling. I’ve even tried contacting support but that doesn’t work either! ### 2/5 — Great-ish *2026-02-05* Used the app for a particular restaurant in London and allowed me to change dates and future reservations. it worked really well for existing reservations. However when trying to look for a restaurant in London, when not in London and on a date three days in advance it can’t handle it. Says dates are invalid and consistently gives me search results for where I am now, which is 40 miles away from London. I found OpenTable to be a better app. ### 1/5 — Completely unusable on iPhone *2026-01-24, version 9.3.5* Now doesn’t work at all on iPhone.. can’t change time, date or number of people.. ### 1/5 — Broken *2026-01-17, version 9.3.5* This app is practically unusable. If you call a restaurant and they use Resdiary, your booking doesn’t then appear in the App. Can booking via the App also get lost in the web? Would worry your booking isn’t in place and you go hungry ! ### 1/5 — Be careful using this app *2025-07-17, version 9.3.1* Made a booking for The Last Drop Beeliar only to find out when I got there that they don’t use an app and so never received our booking. Not only that the company is now know as The Local House and have a different phone number, email etc. ### 3/5 — No booking information *2025-02-12* It’s quite a good app but has a major piece of functionality missing. Why on earth don’t I get a text or email notification to confirm my booking, which then would let Siri find the reservation and give me option to add to my calendar. Or, why isn’t there a button to manually add to my calendar? ### 1/5 — Signin is absurdly difficult *2024-12-01* This was such a bad experience, I do not know why restraints would ever use your service. We nearly gave up and chose another restaurant. Steer well clear, just call the restaurant, book with them and stop this intermediary take-over extracting money for such terrible work. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No sign up option *2026-04-22, version 9.3.21* No option to create an account with email on iPhone so totally unusable ### 1/5 — Truly awful *2026-04-04* Not sure what was wrong with Res Diary which worked perfectly. This “app” shows zero availability in the restaurants local to me even when there is availability showing on the web. Useless. Now won’t even allow a next day search!!! ### 1/5 — Broken and Irritating *2026-03-21* The iPhone app, in my opinion, is an embarrassment or disgrace. Your search is so bad and. frustrating that I can’t decide whether it was built by an intern as a university project and never fixed - or designed to operate this way on purpose so that you display more search results even though they are not the results users want. The application is actually broken on iPhone and has been for months. You cannot actually set the TIME THAT YOU WANT TO EAT WHEN SEARCHING FOR A RESTAURANT. Fix your software at least - and then, if you care even a little bit about users, improve its quality from trash to useable at least. If the problem is that you just don’t care then sell to someone who does. If you have zero talent in your dev team then have a little Google and search for this new tool called “AI” - you might heave heard of it. It’s a great new way for unskilled people to put decent software out into the world. Give it a try - really. ### 1/5 — Currently broken *2026-03-20* The app is currently broken on an IPhone 15 Pro running latest IOS 26. You simply can not change time or number of diners. Touching the options does nothing and then the app crashes. I have deleted and reinstalled with no difference. ### 1/5 — Unable to change date *2026-03-14* The app consistently keeps crashing, it will not allow date changes and says invalid date when clicking another date ### 1/5 — Was Great *2026-02-17, version 9.3.10* But now it’s unusable. Can’t change dates or look for restaurants in advance so defeats the whole point of the app. Pretty sure this is linked to ResDiary so any restaurant using their system is losing out on bookings. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2026-02-13, version 9.3.10* This app has been broken for a few months. Unable to change the time when searching . So only shows the restaurants that are open at the time of your search. Not great if you’re searching for an evening reservation first thing in the morning. ### 1/5 — Just don’t work *2026-02-01* I used it all the time but the last month it just doesn’t work and can’t sign in the help page and help contact doesn’t work neither. I would not recommend this app now . It was brilliant but no more , now I have signed in it will not let me change the time or how many people.
