### 3/5 — Love the game but can’t play anymore!

*2020-03-01, version 1.0*

I am so glad I downloaded this game, thought I’d give it a go and I was immediately hooked! It’s exactly the kind of game I was looking to play and I love the graphics and the story, the whole idea is great. One major fault is that halfway through the game just crashes! I got so far into the story and was getting so into it then suddenly, time stopped, my characters wouldn’t do anything and I couldn’t complete any research... I made another save file and the exact same thing happened halfway through, by the looks of it this is happening to everyone who plays so hopefully it is resolved soon and I can get back to the game!

### 3/5 — Great game but...

*2020-03-01, version 1.0*

I loved playing this game but now I can’t play it because the time has frozen. Can you please try and fix it for me and everyone else who has had the same issue. Thank you

### 3/5 — Game is frozen

*2020-02-29, version 1.0*

Won’t unfreeze but good game

### 4/5 — They’re like Tamagotchi

*2020-02-27, version 1.0*

Love the art style and the general gameplay. Very addictive and actually educational.

Main downside is that the Petri-dish screen will randomly close as well as close at the end of each day. These kinds of issues I expect will slowly be ironed out over time

The random conversations became annoying after a while as well; however these stopped after a while for some reason.

I really got into this and actually was a little sad when I had cells die :

Progression feels a little fast, am already at the second last stage of the ‘undergrad-postdoc-...-professor’ trail, however the advancement definitely felt like I was achieving something.

Overall a solid little game with charm :)

### 3/5 — Needs some work

*2020-02-27, version 1.0*

The concept is great with a lot of potential to be a very interesting game, however the tutorial is bugged by messages that disappear to quickly and some that overlay other important text and questions.
There seams to be no way to create more stem cells when you run out and I lost interest fairly quickly. I Will return to the game when there have been a few updates. I hope this game get fixed soon.

### 3/5 — Glitchy

*2020-02-26*

A cool concept, and fun to play but has quite a few glitches that made it unplayable early on. (Quests not completing, not being able to assign someone for differentiation and being stuck with a differentiating plate you can't use etc.)

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for taking the time to play. Can you please email us at info@dishlife.org and we'll do our best to assist you in resolving your issue.

### 1/5 — Not well developed

*2020-02-29*

Doesn’t quite hit the mark

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to play. Please email us at info@dishlife.org if you have any further feedback!

### 1/5 — Crashes!

*2020-02-27, version 1.0*

Crashes as soon as click to start up the game.

### 2/5 — Broken

*2020-03-04, version 1.0*

It’s got a great visual style, but not much beyond that. The gameplay, or at least what I was able to see before it glitches out, seemed pretty boring. It won’t let me advance past a certain point in the tutorial unfortunately

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for taking the time to play. Can you please email us at info@dishlife.org with some further details about your issue and we will try our best to help you.

### 2/5 — Game Keeps crashing

*2020-03-02, version 1.0*

Love the game but keeps crashing,
I’m not very happy, the game itself is great and very addictive but it keeps crashing. I’ve played it a few times now and every time it crashes every time. I have got all the way to Professor near to the end and the time has frozen. I’m not able to carry on with game, despite rebooting the game a many times. Please fix the problem ASAP

### 2/5 — Bugs need fixing!

*2020-02-28, version 1.0*

A great game that is ruined by bugs and glitches. The game will randomly pause at a time and you are unable to generate medium or do any action and will not continue past this time e.g. even after closing and reopening the act multiple times I am unable to progress past 12:06

### 3/5 — Great concept, but get’s repetitive

*2020-06-30*

I love the concept of this game! The main issue is that there is a limited number of things you can do in the game, so it becomes very repetitive with minimal need for strategic thought/decision making. The projects don’t change - they are just different combinations of the same mundane tasks. The gameplay doesn’t change at all as you progress from undergraduate to professor, which is a great shortcoming. You have to play this game at three times speed or else its very slow. The dialogue boxes and conversations with colleagues do not affect gameplay at all and only hinder the flow of the game as you constantly have to exit out of dialogue boxes. The issues that arise in these dialogues could be opportunities for side quests or additional projects, such as addressing morale of the entire lab community. In summary, this is a noteworthy start to a unique game, but there is significant room for improvement.

### 3/5 — Love this game!

*2020-03-09, version 1.0*

I love this game! Although I’m up to the point where I can’t go any further and my characters can’t do anything anymore :( will be awaiting the update so I can keep playing! :)

### 3/5 — Great game

*2020-03-05, version 1.0*

Great game but as with others it has crashed. Stuck on the same time. I can move people but they won’t to anything. Fingers crossed they fix this issue.

### 3/5 — Crashes all the time

*2020-03-04, version 1.0*

Good concept educational game. Only it crashes constantly and not much explanation.

### 3/5 — It has potential

*2020-03-04, version 1.0*

It’s a great game concept. It would be much better if the glitches and bugs could be fixed, like randomly pausing and unable to continue the game, getting out of the stem dish while trying to feed the stems and other minor issues.

### 5/5 — Dish Life

*2020-10-17, version 1.1*

Honestly the most fun I have had during Lockdown... great gameplay as you negotiate your way in the life of a scientist - feeding cells as you aim to become a professor.. if you like simulations this is for you.. and for once that is Sage advice that can’t be disputed.

### 5/5 — Great wee game

*2020-03-07, version 1.0*

Love me some stem cells

### 5/5 — Great fun!

*2020-02-29, version 1.0*

I’ve been playing this game on the bus to and from work over the past couple of days. It’s been so much fun to play and learn a little bit about stem cell science!

### 5/5 — Amazing Art Style

*2020-02-25, version 1.0*

Really nice paper craft art style and gameplay is really interesting

### 5/5 — Amazing - very educational

*2020-02-25, version 1.0*

Great game. Fun little wee game like

### 4/5 — Great however encountered a bug

*2024-06-24, version 1.3.3*

Great game! I really enjoy playing it. However I encountered a glitch where I couldn't assign a lab member to differentiate my cells and so they just sat there and I couldn't do anything with them

### 4/5 — Stuck with less petri dishes!

*2020-06-30*

The game has a really cool concept, and I believe you can add more things to make it more interesting and more levels.
Some things become really repetitive, which makes it boring.
It’s very slow unless you play it three times faster.
I’m stuck now with two differentiation petri dishes that I can’t solve, I don’t know why. But it’s taking space out of all the dishes.
I’m hoping you can help with this issue.
I would also suggest if there is a skipping button for all the dialogues if I don’t really wanna go through all of them.

### 4/5 — Stopped working :(

*2020-03-21, version 1.0*

Really like the game but halfway through the PHDstudent level the differentiated cells would disappear after they were made :( Tried redownloading but the same thing happened again

### 4/5 — Great game

*2020-03-06, version 1.0*

This game is really interesting and I was hooked the first day I got it, but I saw a lot of reviews about the game crashing and I experienced this when I was getting close to levelling up from the first phd grade, I could move my character and see how my cells are doing and all that but time wouldn’t progress and I couldn’t rest my characters, make medium, increase cells happiness or increase production, this but/crash or whatever this would be called needs to be fixed or this game will be such a loss of potential, hope the devs read this, love your game 👍👍

### 4/5 — Brill game but has crashed

*2020-02-28, version 1.0*

I love this game, it’s delightfully different from the rest and has a very interesting concept, my only issue is that I am stuck on the same day at 16:51, no matter how many times I load and reload the game, it’s still stuck on the same time, nobody will produce anything but I can still move them around, my cells feed or happiness and everything else is staying at the same level yet I can still navigate all of the menus ect, not too sure what has caused this and I cannot seem to get rid of it.
