## What is DishDraw?

Restaurant menus are a mess. Half of them are a PDF that pinch-zooms badly, most are out of date, and almost none tell you what is actually in the dish. DishDraw types them out properly.

THE WHOLE CARD, TYPED OUT
Every restaurant gets its full menu as real text: sections, dish names, descriptions, prices and portion sizes. Search inside a menu. No pinching, no downloads, no dead links.

ALLERGENS AND DIETS ON THE DISH
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free and common allergens sit as tags on the individual dish, not buried in a footnote at the bottom of page four. Filter a whole menu down to what you can actually eat.

FIND DINNER NEAR YOU
Open the app and it lists the restaurants around you, sorted by distance, each with its full menu. Switch to the map, or browse by city.

RESTAURANTS ON YOUR WAY
Set a start and a destination and DishDraw shows you the places along that route, with the detour each one costs. Good for the way home.

SEARCH ONE DISH ACROSS THE CITY
Craving ramen, or a particular salad? Search the dish and see which menus nearby have it, and for how much.

THE ORIGINAL, IF YOU PREFER IT
Scanned menu pages and the restaurant's own PDF stay one tap away, so you can always check the source. Opening hours show whether the kitchen is open right now.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The app itself is in English, German and Turkish. Menu text can be translated into more languages — machine translations are clearly marked as such, so you always know what you are reading.

KEPT CURRENT BY THE COMMUNITY
Waiters, owners and regulars keep it accurate. Photograph a menu page with the built-in scanner and send it in, add a restaurant that is missing, add a photo or a short video of a dish, or flag something that is wrong. Every submission is reviewed by us before it appears — nothing goes live unchecked.

No account needed. No ads. Nothing to buy.

Starting in Berlin, one menu at a time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.14 — 2026-09-14

Find work nearby, faster. The job board has a search field, and distance and role now sit behind one filter button, so the listings start at the top of the screen.

- Nearby: swipe through the feature cards. The next card peeks in, and the job board comes first.
- On first launch, pick whether DishDraw opens on places near you or on a district. You can change it any time from the menu.
- Filters sit on a single row you can scroll sideways.
- Small fixes throughout.

### 1.13 — 2026-09-13

Favorites. Tap the heart on a dish or on a restaurant's menu and it lands in the new Favorites tab, with its price and the place you ate it. It is kept on your phone, so it still reads back even after the venue changes its menu.

- Call the waiter now works at restaurants that take every order themselves — it no longer requires phone ordering to be switched on.
- New map pins: a violet disc carrying the venue's cuisine mark, so a restaurant no longer disappears into the green of the map.
- Small fixes throughout.

### 1.12 — 2026-09-11

### 1.11 — 2026-09-10

Under the hood: restaurants and dishes now carry new permanent identifiers, ready for the server upgrade that follows this release. Printed restaurant QR cards use the new links.

- Menus, search, table ordering, pickup and reservations work as before.
- Small fixes throughout.

### 1.10 — 2026-09-05

Sharper search inside a menu, one button style across the app, and a quicker order screen.

- Menu search now ignores accents: "rosti" finds "Rösti", "creme brulee" finds "Crème brûlée". The filter sheet’s own search box does the same.
- A dish whose name contains a number, like "2023 Riesling", is ranked as the name match it is again.
- Searching for a venue with two words puts the venue whose name holds both at the top, instead of everything in a city of that name.
- One button style across the whole app — same shape, same weight, in light and dark.
- The back button on the order screen goes where you came from.
- Your order draft is kept the moment you change it, so the screen no longer waits on the save.
