DishDraw: Restaurant Discovery

Restaurant menus are a mess. Half of them are a PDF that pinch-zooms badly, most are out of date, and almost none tell you what is actually in the dish. DishDraw types them out properly. THE WHOLE CARD, TYPED OUT Every restaurant gets its full menu as real text: sections, dish names, descriptions, prices and portion sizes. Search inside a menu. No pinching, no downloads, no dead links. ALLERGENS AND DIETS ON THE DISH Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free and common allergens sit as tags on the individual dish, not buried in a footnote at the bottom of page four. Filter a whole menu down to what you can actually eat. FIND DINNER NEAR YOU Open the app and it lists the restaurants around you, sorted by distance, each with its full menu. Switch to the map, or browse by city. RESTAURANTS ON YOUR WAY Set a start and a destination and DishDraw shows you the places along that route, with the detour each one costs. Good for the way home. SEARCH ONE DISH ACROSS THE CITY Craving ramen, or a particular salad? Search the dish and see which menus nearby have it, and for how much. THE ORIGINAL, IF YOU PREFER IT Scanned menu pages and the restaurant's own PDF stay one tap away, so you can always check the source. Opening hours show whether the kitchen is open right now. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app itself is in English, German and Turkish. Menu text can be translated into more languages — machine translations are clearly marked as such, so you always know what you are reading. KEPT CURRENT BY THE COMMUNITY Waiters, owners and regulars keep it accurate. Photograph a menu page with the built-in scanner and send it in, add a restaurant that is missing, add a photo or a short video of a dish, or flag something that is wrong.
