However the app is simple to use, well put together and the tutorial guides you through the process flawlessly and when I got stuck the 6 yr old was able to bail me out. Admittedly this does not work on older iPads as we found out when we downloaded it onto our older one and it kept crashing which is where the problems might exist with other reviews. Registration tries to get you to share a valid email, but you can skip confirmation. The instructions included in the box and in the app are lacking but the Kano website says to ensure Bluetooth is on (plug light by power button is on) and you have to pair with the app (as opposed to pairing with the iOS Bluetooth settings, which cannot see the device). That worked for me - finally.
