The car location assist feature needs to have gps and directions available, not just a spot to enter letters and numbers that I don’t recognize. The wait times were up to date and accurate which was helpful but the character meet and greets were difficult to navigate and find. Most of the app is just more advertising for upgrades and more ways to take your money. This has been the worst experience getting park tickets, making reservations, then having to link said tickets— it has been one of the worst experiences. As someone staying at their hotel, you would think once you’ve booked a room they would choose to simplify processes instead of making them more complicated. The app does not simplify linking tickets. There is no instruction on how to even do it. I was already a little ticked off that I not only have to buy tickets, but I have to also remember to reserve them (as if I don’t already have other things to think about while making plans for a vacation). Now I have to link them in an app that doesn’t explain how to even do that and makes it exceedingly difficult to do. Whoever is in charge of user experience at Disneyland, probably has absolutely no credentials. It was just the cheapest person they could afford. That’s my assumption based on my experience (and I haven’t even landed in California yet). This isn’t just about the app, I know; however, user experience is part of an apps expected function, and this one is lacking it big time. ### 1/5 — Bad Disney expirence *2026-09-06, version 8.24* We didn’t know that Disneyland could sell out, flew all the way to California for 1 day and flew home without Disney. The Disneyland Resort provides an escape from all of that for a while and reminds us all how to enjoy simple pleasures like good food, our friendships, and delightful sights. No matter why a visit is taking place there is something for everyone to admire or enjoy: The clever architecture, the period music, live entertainment, or specially created adventures and attractions. The resort is ever-changing and that is a good thing.
