I love it and I absolutely hate it. It completely misses the purpose of missions and power ups which normally help ease your progression and push you a little further, nope… just makes it harder, like the game says “NO SIR!”. It’s super easy for about 30 to 45 secs, after that-> exponentially harder, unfair and ridiculous are also fair. And the relative touch scheme is about 89% relative to touch as the ship gain groups the further than relative with a lengthy move. I rather like the music thou repetitive and the effects are in minimalistic but vibrant style. Honestly if you are a glutton for punishment and could enjoy a game to kick the crap out of you instead of challenge you then This is a game for you. Anyone just wanting a typical vertical shooter go get something else. This makes Ikaruga look like 1942 :) and here I go to go play it again. ### 3/5 — Reasonably fun with room for improvement *2021-05-25* There are a few bugs here and there. Currently my missions cannot be completed as I’m pretty sure there’s something wrong with the coding of particular missions. This can be resolved if you allowed players to discard missions. The buff from purchasing ships in the workshop isn’t clear if it is global or ship dependent. The bullet colour is the same as the colour in void rush which makes it cluttered. Finally the AI on the enemies are not great as they have a tendency to clutter the bottom of the screen, but as there is no counter play currently, it becomes bad game design **Developer response:** Thanks for your review! We have worked on this game for a few years now and I believe some of these issues have been solved. Let us know which ones aren't and we can continue to iterate on this passion project ### 4/5 — Wonderful shooter *2023-12-13, version 1.23* The controls are tight, and enemies are unique and varied. It has nice customization and upgrades. My only complaint is that the diamonds an enemy drops doesn’t scale with its difficulty, which means that you’re better off playing it easy and ignoring the enemies that take many hits instead of the easy swarm of baby bots. ### 4/5 — I’m not sure *2023-10-23* Do you keep your purchases if you delete app? **Developer response:** Currently there is no cloud support besides high scores. If you join the discord, I will always be happy to provide you with a code for more diamonds if you are a returning player ### 4/5 — Closes my audiobook *2023-09-14, version 1.20* I like the game I really do but I listen to books all the time, And I’m not giving them up for this game. ### 5/5 — Glorious Fun with a Rough Late Game *2024-08-30, version 1.23* Rounds are perfectly short and sweet, and the geometric aesthetic never gets old. Ships are fun to control, enemies are mechanically well-designed to keep you on your toes, and the ship upgrades dropped by enemies feel impactful. Upgrade drop rates can be increased between rounds for diamonds, which you collect during the rounds. My only complaint is that the late game doesn’t seem like it was play tested—you can become unkillable with ease once you have high enough drop rates to outpace the gradual strength increase of your enemies, and before long you’re putting out so many bullets that the framerate plummets. But devs, if you see this, awesome work—when you’re not playing as god, this game is so, so much fun. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2024-07-09* I really love the unique style of the game design.
