It works , but it’s more time on adverts than measurements.  Time to keep looking for a sensible solution

I calibrated it by putting a 4 inch high mug (imputed .32 feet) exactly 1 foot away. Calibrated. Took it outside to test. Shoot a 1 foot tall object approximately 50 feet away. App said it was only 3 FEET AWAY!!!  Tried again and same results.  This is a scam and Is probably harvesting personal data.

In order for an app like this to work, the object must be defined by the user, and because it does not, you are relaying on AI to determine what object you are intending to define. You’re better off getting a palm reading to determine distances. Much more accurate.

Assumes that you know the height of your object to calculate distance. Pure garbage do not download.

I can't work this out. I set up the app but find no matter how far away I am I put the hight in and it keeps telling me the same answer as the calibration figure??

Sorry, I follow the instructions to calibrate this app. After calibration, I again, follow the instructions, eg., take a photo and enter the height, and press calculate. The distance is always shown as the height. Specifically:
1. Take the photo. 
2. Enter the height, say 3 feet.
3. Press calculate, it shows the object as being 3 feet away.
