With this app you can quickly calculate the distance of any route you are considering. For a multi-day boat trip, you can save a distance measure for each day’s route. Used in conjunction with a depth chart, to ensure a safe route of adequate depths, I find Distance Measure my go-to tool for trip planning on my iPhone. However I wish the proprietors would avoid posting any unscrupulous adverts such as the one with Harry and Meghan backing a bit coin outfit. Amongst all they have done, right or wrong they definitely wouldn’t endorse such a company that leads the desperate into shark infested waters. If tempted please read the web page of Martin Lewis on the bit coin subject. This app use to tell me that. Now I have to figure out from yards to footage. If I’m wrong, and rail is to long now I have a problem. Before I could trust the measurement from point to point even when it would be close. Making a quick decision is not part of our work process now where before it was very accurate and quick. We are back to wheeling it off with a rolling measuring device. I am not happy as now time is a lot longer and time on the track is very slim. ### 1/5 — Crap advertising *2018-10-03, version 3.5.1* Really genius to put Google advertising banner on top of the Welcome to Distance Measure ver3.5 banner new update screen, and you can't just skip the welcome screen, you can't stop the advertising screens that keep popping up in front of the X exit button needed to actually use the Distance Measure app. Either fix this or I will delete your app! Advertising should not take over the app screen. Hopefully this gets fixed. The maps in my area in NC, USA are more updated than any other aerial map apps at present. The current (Sept ‘25) imaging was obtained in March 2025 whereas other map apps are older. It's nice the author has included a manual, but I've never needed to use it. I've been able to do a lot of complex measurements, both for distance and area. I've always found it to be very accurate. I wouldn't use it to replace surveying,But for the casual user who wants to know the distance/area of something that can't be entered by name, Address for coordinator, this is a great tool. Throw in the fact that it also measures area and you can select metric versus US makes it my go to app for Long distance measuring. People will often ask me how did you figure it out The length of that OHV route?. I show them this app and they immediately download it. I'm sure there's probably something similar on android, but my friends that had android phones could not find it on google play so they felt left out. It has a basic search feature, but it always knows where I am and that's how I use it most often.
