## What is Distrust?

【Game introduction】

Distrust is a horror survival SLG game developed by a Siberia team called Cheerdealers. In the game, members of a science team are forced to stay at the Arctic base because of an accidental crash of their helicopter. They need to search for provisions in the base and then escape from it. But in the base, when players fall into deep sleep, aliens will be attracted here to absorb life. The team members try to defend aliens by staying awake, but they gradually become mad with sensory disorder due to lack of sleep and are unable to tell the difference between reality and illusion. Please lead the surviving team members through the randomly generated polar base to face the extreme weather and fight against aliens so as to complete your survival adventure.

【Game features】

Realistic Polar Environment

Cheerdealers, development team of Distrust, comes from Siberia, who has an advantage in developing polar-themed games. If the player stays outside the house for a long time in the game, there will be a freezing effect on the screen. The development team even invites players to visit the Arctic for real to experience extremely cold weather.

Classic Alien Elements

The game is inspired by the classic horror movie—The Thing in 1982 with certain adaption in it. When players fall into sleep, aliens will be attracted to absorb their life, which brings debuff to them. Both sides have their weaknesses.

Multiple survival strategies

There are 15 talented expedition members for players to choose from and each of them has unique skills. One shall choose 2 members to start the adventure. The combination and strategy will determine how to survive.

Random Stages and Multiple Endings

Distrust adopts a Roguelike-style random map that randomly generates a new set of map stages and tasks each time when a new game starts, making the game more random and repeatable. Meanwhile, the game is also designed with four kinds of endings. In some special stages, a player’s choice may determine the final result.

### 1/5 — Game not listed in settings and not listed in iCloud backup

*2021-08-13, version 1.5*

No way to backup game, so if change to new iPad / device, all data is lost… months of play time wasted. I waste my money on this piece of buggy trash.

It crashes and you put up with a lot of minor problems. Now I find out it doesn’t even allow to backup save data. I am planing on trading in iPad for a new one, and I find this game doesn’t backup. Even iCloud gave warning for this game that it was not included and data would not be backup. I looked for the game to add and there is no way to add it, it’s not listed anywhere in settings other than previous purchases.

### 4/5 — Great game, crashes sometimes

*2020-02-24, version 1.5*

Great port! I bought this one on Steam when it came out years ago. And it's not a "The Thing" video game wannabe, but more of an homage to "The Thing" film. It says so if you actually read about the game. I'm a big fan of isometric survival games, and I loved how this game utilized strategic thinking, and multi-tasking. This is a resource gathering game, but not a Last Day on Earth grind game. This is a story driven, isometric survival game with resource gathering elements. Games like Last Day on Earth are a dime a dozen....and let's face it, if you aren't completely bored with the over saturated and beaten to death zombie genre of film, television, and gaming, I sincerely question your taste on anything. If you want a unique gaming experience, with a price point that's a bargain, this is worth playing. The developers put a lot of heart into this one, and we should all support an array of different gaming experiences instead of creating an atmosphere for developers to put out copies of whatever is testing well or selling.

### 2/5 — Good game but...

*2019-12-23, version 1.5*

I played through the tutorial with excitement as the excellent game with an excellent premise unfolded before me, but as soon as the tutorial finished, the game crashed. I thought nothing of it, relaunched the game, clicked the new game button (ignoring the prompt to play the tutorial, for I already had), and selected my characters. The level slowly started loading before jumping to 100%, pausing for a moment and crashing. This went on for the next 5 attempts with me either trying to start a nw game or continue the game I’ve already started, to no avail. If the crash gets fixed, I would love to play it, until then, I just have to sit and wait.

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2019-12-20, version 1.5*

Literally only writing this review for the Developers. For "James Abrams'" bio, you have it set at 3 stars for running speed instead of Cold Resistance, but on the character choosing screen you can see it correctly. Only when clicking on his bio. Hope you fix that. Little things like that really bother the heck out of me. Fix it.

### 1/5 — CHANGING MY RATING FROM 4 TO 1

*2019-12-14, version 1.5*

CANNOT PLAY FULL STORY OR CONTINUE MY ENDLESS WITHOUT BEING ONLINE

First I’d like to address all the “I thought it was going to be like this game” reviews. You killed the game for yourself before you even had a chance to play it. Never compare a game before you’ve played it for what it is.

This is a great handheld survival game that I know will grow into something greater than it is now. Main story is a little short but if you play it in challenge mode you’ll get the full experience that the developers tried to create on mobile devices. Definitely worth the 3$ price tag in my opinion. Give it a try. There are some areas that need adjusting but overall great. 4stars

### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted

*2019-12-04, version 1.5*

I downloaded this hoping it would be a certain kind of game and I was not disappointed. Survival is a genre I love and this game does a great job. I can feel the cold as I play ❄️⛄️🌬

It is a bit buggy with crashes while loading on my iPad Mini 5. A relaunch fixes it and once you are in the game it is stable.

### 5/5 — Love The Look And Feel!

*2019-11-18, version 1.5*

Update:
Reminds me a little of the movie ‘The Thing’ atmosphere wise. DEVELOPERS; Thank You for NOT making this a ‘shooting/killing’ game! People that think to make things interesting, that you need to shoot/kill things need psychological therapy. We’ve desensitized our young to killing, blood and maiming things in TV and games (makes good ‘fodder’ for the military-industry complex’). There was a time when game developers were more responsible and ‘ethical’ in their games they developed. Now it’s all about money. Sad

The only sort of issue I have is that I constantly need to keep readjusting the game’s brightness when I change lighting conditions as you can completely miss things, which is a potential killer.

No crashes! No issues so far. Enjoying the game a lot presently!

——
It is kind of dumb that you can die doing the tutorial though, forcing you to start it over. I’ll update once I’ve dug into the game. Also, uses iOS gestures ‘except’ for zoom (and is only one step) which uses a PC mouse pointer +\- button on the upper top, left screen margin?? That decision makes no sense to me. Use the zoom iOS gestures feature.

### 2/5 — Crashing constantly is the main review

*2019-09-24, version 1.5*

I do genuinely enjoy this game, that is the very little I am able to play it for. It has non-stop crashed over and over. It crashes upon initial loading, and after sleeping, also in the first 5-10min of playing, and just overall randomly at anytime. That aside I really do like everything else about the game, the mechanics are good the graphics are good, and the survival aspect is one of my favorites. Looking at the app it says the last update was over two months ago and everyone has brought up the constant crashing and I didn’t see any responses from the devs, which for the effort to make the game seems like a bad business practice. Unless of course the game was strictly made to appeal just enough to get people to buy it and there’s no plan to fix it. If this game gets a good update I will gladly give it five stars because it deserves it but until that time it will have to stay where it’s at.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2019-08-29, version 1.5*

I got this game when it was pre-order, but it was a little too hard and something else wrong I couldn’t decipher. I’m going to give it another try. Even though there’s something wrong, it deserves a five star rate. I have one more thing to say. I tried this game again and it wouldn’t let me set the brightness. I’ll keep Distrust until I can succeed at playing this game

### 5/5 — READ DEVELOPERS!!!

*2019-07-20, version 1.5*

I love this game, but if I’m going to be honest it does get a little bit boring at times. I think what would make it much better is if you added guns. Not a lot, just a few handguns, a shotgun, and maybe a more rare machine gun. Also it would be awesome if you could find new characters while playing the game, like if you found a character in a new zone or whatever. Last thing is MAKE MORE ZONES! There aren’t enough zones and you NEED to make more for people who aren’t willing to pay because honestly it’s a bit of a let down when you get past the first zone and then you have to pay. That’s all and I hope to see some changes in the coming weeks!
