## What is Dive Archive?

Dive Archive is the effortless way to build and maintain your dive logbook. Import dives automatically from the sources you already use — Oceanic+, PADI Journal, Garmin and Suunto dive computers (via FIT file export), Apple Watch (HealthKit), and Strava — and let Dive Archive merge them into one clean, deduplicated log.

FEATURES

• Automatic Import — Connect your Oceanic+ account, PADI Journal, or Apple Watch and new dives show up in your logbook without manual entry. Garmin and Suunto dive computers are supported via FIT file export.
• Smart Deduplication — Import the same dive from multiple sources without creating duplicates.
• Depth & Temperature Charts — See your full depth profile and water/air temperature for every dive at a glance.
• Dive Sites — Every site you've logged with a name and location automatically appears in your personal Dive Sites list, alongside a built-in open-source directory of thousands of dive sites worldwide.
• Dive Shops — Save the shops and operators you've dived with, complete with directions via Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze.
• Buddy Tracking — Log who you dove with and keep a running history of your dive buddies.
• iCloud Sync — Your dive log stays in sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac automatically.
• Push to Strava — Share your dives to Strava as an activity, complete with depth chart.
• Instructor Tracking — Log your instructor or divemaster for training and certification dives.
• Home Screen Widgets & Live Activity — See your latest dive and sync status at a glance.

Whether you're a weekend diver or logging hundreds of dives a year, Dive Archive keeps your history complete, organized, and always with you.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-13

Dive Archive 1.3

• Push your dives to SSI and NAUI. Sign in to either one and send a dive to your SSI or NAUI logbook. Edit a dive afterward and update it in place, or remove it from there.
• One Push button and one Remove button. The dive screen now has a single button that sends a dive to every connected agency it isn't on yet, and a single Remove button that lets you pick an agency, or all of them. Strava keeps its own lightning-bolt button.
• New Integrations overview at the top of Settings. See at a glance whether Oceanic+, NAUI, PADI, SSI, and Strava are connected and which ones need you to sign back in. Tap any of them to manage it.
• One NAUI sign-in now covers both your courses and your dive log, and NAUI signs you back in automatically when its session expires.
• The first dive buddy you add becomes your default buddy automatically, and the Add Buddy settings are simpler.
• Your PADI card now appears instantly when you open the app, just like the NAUI cards.
• Fixed a crash that could happen while scrolling the dive list.

New in 1.2

• Introducing Dive Archive Pro: a one-time unlock for Oceanic+ and Strava sync. NAUI, PADI, and manual logging stay free either way.
• Added an "Enable NAUI" step during setup, alongside Oceanic+, PADI, and Strava.
• Dive badges (Oceanic+, PADI, Strava) now always appear in the same order instead of shuffling based on when each one synced.
• The buddy-share prompt now reads "Add [dive name]" for clarity.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-11

Dive Archive 1.1

• Buddy sharing just got a lot easier: tap "Share with a Buddy" and your dive buddy gets a pop-up to accept it right on their device — no more sending files back and forth.
• Added tracking for NAUI specialty certifications (like Underwater Hunting & Collector), shown right alongside your PADI and NAUI Advanced cards.
• Tap any certification card to see full details — instructor, dive center, and completion date.
• Connect your own Strava account in Settings to push dives there as activities.
• Fixed a bug that could overcount dive sites when the same spot was logged under two different names.
• Added a moon icon for night dives and a counter for lionfish hunts.
• macOS: the dive log now opens with your most recent dive already selected, and the layout is tighter and easier to scan.
• Clearer wording on the Training tab for Dive Instructor requirements.
