What are the plans for updates? If this turns into a paid app and improves functionality, would purchase just to have the ability to import from my smart Tek computer. Don't expect much if you are installing this app. ### 1/5 — What the heck for Uwatec *2010-09-26, version 0* Poorly done. Not intuitive. It's all in metrics and bars -- no ability to convert to imperial. Doesn't import your log properly either. Major work to be done on this app before it's worth your time. Can't believe Scubapro UWATEC partnered up to produce this app. I have a Smart TEC computer and lucky for me the Smart TEC works alot better than this app. If you're serious about an electronic dive log spend a few dollars, take a look at Dive Buddy Pro the guy was really quick at responding to my emails. ### 1/5 — Needs some work! *2010-08-11, version 0* I am happy scubapro/uwatec has a partnership with an easy to download profiles application. However, the app could use some work. Imperial units would be nice. Easy to edit options. Number the dives in sequential order on the dive list. Also include the date of the dive on the dive list.Use the downloaded information to give stats(deepest dive, longest dive, avg depth, total time underwater. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste your time *2021-06-19, version 6.1* Multiple times to input data, inaccurate location, very minimal setting adjustments, even after changing settings they still showed up the same as original set. Apparently no updates in four years at this point and no privacy information. STAY AWAY! ### 1/5 — So annoying! *2017-01-29, version 6.0* Easy to add dive information, but dates and information don't change once you save. You edit details and save again and nothing changes. When I went to different countries it keeps my last dive country as the the new dive. It's so annoying to have to keep going back and editing the information. Now I have mixed up information from countries and maps to dive times and dates. Won't use again! I'd prefer paper log book over this!! ### 1/5 — Poor app *2015-03-24, version 5.0* This app is horrible, no instruction on what the icons are. Transferring data is terrible. It's possible, if you have the correct model of ScubaPro dive computer to connect with this app, there may be more controls available, but frankly life is too short to indulge software this badly presented. This thing looks like it has a lot of cool features. But it is so complicated I couldn't figure it out. I too cant believe scubapro put their name on this. The instructions to transfer your logbook to the iphone are the worst instructions i think i've ever seen. This app??? Is totally unintutive and very poorly constructed. I never did get my dives to import after trying for over 2 hours. I would have given this 0 stars but itunes doesnt allow. ### 1/5 — Log book *2011-06-12, version 2.0.3* This software will only download dives from your dive computer (if you can figure it out). There is no opportunity to manually log a dive. Shame. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great app for Uwatec Galileo & ipad *2013-12-24, version 4.4* Absolutely great little app. Been struggling to get an app which transfers my dives to my ipad easily and completely. This does it. Note you still need a pc to load dives from your dive computer (PC not MAC sadly - mac has no usable IR interface). Moving files can be a bit fiddly, but the instructions are great. Dive log and my computer data on my ipad - at last! ### 4/5 — Good free dive log *2017-12-30, version 6.1* Nice diving log but the weather tab is a bit buggy as it always times out. Please continue improving the app ! ### 4/5 — A good start *2012-04-17, version 4.0* I wanted to have my dive logs from Smart computer on my phone for convenience so I don't need to lug a laptop around. One slight problem in loading logs from laptop was that I duplicated my log book and had to delete the duplicates. I have not found a way to change from meters to feet (personal preference) but other than that I now have my log book on my iphone, thank you very much. I plan to use the location and mapping feature in future as this is pretty neat. Documentation is a bit weak and I hope the developers will make improvements. ### 4/5 — Has a few glitches *2011-08-27, version 3.0* I'm still enjoying using the app with my Galileo Sol. Glitches .. Apart from the lack of instruction are that despite me adding dives in numerical and dated order they do not appear like it in the app. The weather and signage is still in Italian only. Would be good if you could add directly to the log and alter dive numbers so they sit correctly. However all said and done it is a free app and is a handy portable log should I need it rather than carry a paper version ### 4/5 — Why So Low *2011-07-12, version 2.0.3* The app is free. It was buggy, but I got used to it and it worked for me. I reset my phone awhile ago and the app didn’t reinstall. I installed the app today and all of my data is gone. I have a backup in dropbox and my email from 2013 (it’s been a slow couple years), but I can’t find a way to import the file types (html, xml) into the app. There’s no way to contact tech support on the app website. On those grounds, thanks very much! However there are a few areas which would benefit from improving: - It's not all been translated from Italian yet. Also some features, such as the weather, are only for Italian dive destinations. - Some areas of the app aren't very intuitive. At the very least a Help page would be useful. - There could be more flexibility on the dive logging, e.g. I record the equipment used on each dive which would suit a multi-select entry.
