## What is DiveCast?

DiveCast is a dynamic dive planning tool built for technical divers who need accurate, real-time decompression and gas planning — on the boat, at the dive site, or at home.

KEY FEATURES

• Real-time dive profile planning with live decompression calculations (Bühlmann ZHL-16 with gradient factors)
• Full gas planning: bottom, deco, and diluent gas mixes with MOD, density, and no-decompression limits calculated automatically
• CNS and OTU oxygen toxicity tracking alongside your deco stop schedule
• Gas Library — save and reuse your standard gas configurations, synced across devices when signed in
• Stress scenario modeling — instantly rescale SAC and ascent rates for elevated-exertion or emergency conditions
• Supports open-circuit, closed-circuit (rebreather), and bailout planning
• Consecutive dive planning that carries over tissue loading from your previous dive
• Configurable ascent/descent rates, SMB deployment drift, and surface planning parameters
• Fully usable offline for planning dives up to 30m, no account required. Full planning access — including deeper technical dives — requires signing in as a verified technical diver, which also unlocks cloud sync across devices

DiveCast is built for certified technical divers with training in decompression theory and gas management. It is a planning aid, not a substitute for training, certification, or dive computer verification — always cross-check dive plans against your training and equipment before diving.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.8 — 2026-10-01

**Fixed TTS Δ reporting a negative value on closed-circuit bailout plans with an Exit time**

### 1.2.7 — 2026-09-30

• Setpoint modes are now called Constant and Dynamic, and the mode button shows which one is active.
• Gas editor simplified: tank count and size come from your saved tank configurations — pick a configuration, adjust fill/reserve, done.
• Clearer tank-configuration columns in Settings.
• Fixed a crash when dismissing screens while an accessibility service (e.g. TalkBack) is active.

### 1.2.6 — 2026-09-29

• Gas switch time now counts: mix changes hold at the switch depth and shape your decompression, with the gas charged to the new mix.
• New SMB Deploy card — drift and current in, deployment depth out.
• Gas cost breakdown: O₂/He volumes, prices and total.
• Fixed a crash when rotating while the graph rebuilt.
• No more duplicate warning rows.
• Clearer panel names, consistent number formatting.
• Fixed a crash that could happen on launch, on returning to the app, or when rotating the screen on some devices. No change to how planning works — everything from 1.2.5 is intact.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-09-26

Our biggest mobile update yet.

• New Dive Phases view — your whole dive as clear, colour-coded cards.
• Rotate to landscape for a full-screen dive graph, plus a new tile-graph view.
• Simpler controls — Mode, Operations, Profile and Exit, each one tap away.
• Plan consecutive (repetitive) dives.
• Choose which warnings you see.
• More conservative no-fly time, plus cleaner and more accurate decompression.

Update now to get it all.

### 1.1.8 — 2026-08-28

### Dive planning
- **ICD warnings on by default**:

### Reliability
- **Stay signed in through brief network drops**
- **More accurate connection status**
- **Improved diagnostics**
