## What is DiveHub?

DiveHub is your digital dive log and social hub for scuba divers. Track every dive, discover new dive spots and schools around the world, and connect with fellow divers.

KEY FEATURES
• Logbook — record depth, duration, water temperature, visibility and notes for every dive
• Dive Spots — explore an interactive map of dive sites worldwide, with details on difficulty, depth and marine life
• Dive Schools — find PADI, SSI and other certified dive centers and courses near you
• DiveDex — identify and track marine species you've encountered
• Buddies — follow fellow divers and see their latest adventures
• Photos — attach photos to your dives and share your best shots
• Offline-ready — your logbook stays available even without a connection

Whether you're logging your first Open Water dive or your thousandth technical dive, DiveHub helps you capture, organize and share your underwater world.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-08-18

•	Fixed a bug that could crash the app on open for existing users.
	•	Fixed the edit button on your own dives, which changed the address bar but never actually opened the edit screen.
	•	Editing a dive now opens one complete overview instead of walking you through three steps, so you can change any detail and save straight away.
	•	Dive videos now start playing the moment you open them, with no play button flashing up while they load.
	•	You can now swipe in either direction to close a photo or video, and the whole gesture follows your finger smoothly.
	•	The feed keeps loading as you scroll instead of stopping after your first 20 dives.
	•	Photos upload and load noticeably faster.
	•	Profile photos now appear next to your dives in the feed, not just on profile pages.
	•	You can log a dive with no signal — it saves on your device and uploads automatically once you’re back online.
	•	Dives logged without a photo now show the water coloured by how deep you went, with the dive site name, instead of a large depth number.
	•	Every species in DiveDex now has its own illustration instead of a generic fish.
	•	DiveDex country names now appear in Dutch, matching the rest of the app.

### 1.9 — 2026-08-13

Push notifications now prompt you automatically the first time you open the app, instead of being buried in settings.

Certification is now a proper PADI dropdown (Discover Scuba Diving through Course Director), with an option for other agencies.

Cleaned up account settings: moved “delete account” out of the main profile editor into a dedicated Settings page, and removed the data export feature.

Fixed a bug where the app could get stuck zoomed in after picking a photo.

Fixed a bug where the dive feed could show no dives even though dives existed.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-12

Logging a dive is now a guided 3-step flow — spot, dive details, then who was there — instead of one long form.

You can now tag your dive buddies and record the divemaster for a dive. If you pick a dive school, we'll suggest divemasters/instructors from that school automatically.

Rebuilt the depth/duration buttons from the ground up so they line up properly.

Tapping a photo or video in the feed now opens it fullscreen.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-11

Videos in the feed now autoplay muted as they scroll into view, and pause when you scroll past — tap the speaker icon to unmute. Photos and videos also display larger, filling more of the screen.

Fixed a bug where a dive logged with only a video (no photo) showed a blank tile in your profile logbook.

Improved the alignment of the plus/minus buttons on the depth and duration fields when logging a dive.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-09

Fixed the logbook bug where videos didn’t show up in the feed — only when you opened the dive.

Deleting your own dives works smoothly, right from the ⋮ menu.

Badges now collapse to the first 3 with a “show more” option, so your profile isn’t a wall of trophies.

Your logbook is now a photo grid, Instagram-style, instead of a plain list.

Dive school search finds ones near you first, just like dive spot search already did.

Depth/duration buttons speed up the longer you hold them, and typing numbers no longer produces garbage like “025”.

Fixed a bug where some profile buttons were unclickable if your name was long.

Same ocean, smoother app.
