It’s been great to learn about all the dive sites near me and all the wildlife I might see. Accurate weather predictions are really the backbone of a successful dive trip and DiveSight does it better than other apps I’ve used. Finally having the ability to build a list of all the sea critters I’ve encountered is a game changer for me. This is such a well crafted and reliable app. The UX/UI is elegant and intuitive, the forecasts are super comprehensive, and building the marine species life-list is so fun. It’s like someone put together AllTrails and E-bird but underwater. It is fantastic. **Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words! Really excited to plan some dives at spots in Lake Huron that I learned about from like 30 seconds navigating in the map feature. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review! The forecasts seem accurate so far for my local sites and looking forward to testing them abroad on an upcoming trip. The forecasts are the hardest part of DiveSight and where most of the work goes: billions of satellite and ocean-model data points, run through models we validate against actual conditions. Getting to know your own local sites better and discovering new areas and critters is a big part of why I built it. And if you ever want something new, the app makes it easy: you can flag a missing dive site from any site page or the map, suggest a species from any species list, or send general feedback from the dedicated page in Settings. Divers have been a long time for something like this. **Developer response:** This is exactly what I hope to hear, thank you. Testing the forecast against what you actually see in the water is the real bar, and "realistic" is exactly what we're after. A lot of careful science goes into getting there, always balanced against how genuinely complex the ocean is.
