### 5/5 — Daily Prayer made easy

*2026-08-18, version 3.2.48*

This app is well setup and very easy to use. It is especially helpful to have the references to the page numbers in the Liturgy of the Hours and the Christian Prayer book. The music included with the prayers is an added bonus. Would love to see this Available for Apple CarPlay as it would allow easy access to prayer time when on the road.

The Divine Office app prayer is an awesome tool to make time to God while on earth; consequently, I recommend this app to anybody that wants to be more intimately united to the Catholic Church, as well as with Christ. Pray, fast and alms-give. A.M.D.G.

### 5/5 — Best one so far

*2026-08-02, version 3.2.48*

I’ve tried a few apps for the daily divine office, but this is the first one that actually includes recordings and even sets melody to the hymns and psalms! I’ve felt something was missing when I recite the others in my reading voice. Great app!

### 5/5 — Perfect App

### 5/5 — Love this Ministry!

*2026-08-01, version 3.2.48*

I’ve been with Divine Office just about since Day 1. Wonderful way to start and end each blessed day in God’s Word. Even more edifying when I can join the community at all the appointed hours. May our Lord continue to bless this committed group of believers.

### 5/5 — World Changer!

*2026-07-31, version 3.2.48*

There is no better tool on God’s green earth to help a person remain plugged into the ancient prayers of the Church Universal all across the earth then this app! I have not missed a day of Divine Office in Months and Months because it is always right here with me no matter where I am during my day! These people who record the daily office are AMAZING! I’d recommend to every Christjan in the planet!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2026-07-29, version 3.2.47*

This is so perfect for anybody who wants to do the liturgy of the hours. It breaks up into segments so you can do what you have time for, if you are a full-time working person like me, and it even has audio for the songs. I love everything about this app.

### 5/5 — Great Catholic Apps

*2026-07-29, version 3.2.47*

It’s an excellent app. The Liturgy of the Hours is one of the most comp prayers. This app simplified it.

### 5/5 — Get it!

*2026-07-29, version 3.2.47*

I used this app everyday. It’s so helpful

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wonderful layout minus audio

*2026-03-09, version 3.2.43*

Very nice layout easy to navigate however, the audio is less than acceptable. Way too melodramatic in particular, a female that sounds close to a voice over for Saint Bernadette . Dear Lord forgive me for being so critical and judgmental!✝️

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-06-16, version 3.2.20*

This app no longer functions. You now have to go to the website to get daily readings.

### 1/5 — Content great forget audio

*2025-05-06, version 3.2.18*

Wonderful! Love the ease of reading. Regretfully, the audio has some terrible actors with overdramic voices. They know who they are! Se La vi!

### 1/5 — Not working properly

*2015-03-06, version 3.0.15*

This latest upgrade of divine office doesn't automatically download the audio

### 2/5 — Needs more accessibility features

*2025-11-13, version 3.2.25*

All readings and sections should allow for audible reading and the ability to apply filters so you can skip Hymns or musical parts. Trying not to be disrespectful to our Lord but my sensory issues sometimes I can’t handle the Hymns or certain voices reading the daily prayers. Maybe allow choice of voice over readers and definitely make all sections audible for those who can’t read or need eyes free or hands free. Have the readings keep scrolling up to keep up to where we are in the prayer section we are participating in. Again think of people with disabilities. Also noted that I can click a section but it won’t come up or play easily. Needs to be more reactive to being “selected” and respond accordingly. Bless the developers and casting for your hard work and just my opinions on how I would prefer to interact with the app.

### 2/5 — 9 months in

*2025-01-04, version 3.2.17*

This is an update to my 6 months in review
I am still using the app. However, as I grow in my faith I am seeing more need for changes to appeal to a more devout user base. First and foremost, Our Church is masculine. There needs to be a more masculine representation in readings and hymns. There continues to be less men participating in the prayers and the readings by the women are extremely emotional and distract from the purpose in these prayers. For the hymns, there is never really anything different from the 70’s contemporary style songs. It would be great to provide an option for holy chants in the hymns.

Still here and hanging on but I am throwing out a concern for maybe this app having an agenda to it

==================
4 stars
I have been using this app for 6 months now faithfully for the whole family. I love it, and have donated to help support. I have noticed recently that there seems to be a change in readings moving to almost entirely female. While their voices are beautiful, it reminds me of those parishes where the priest is present but the altar servers, readers, ministers of the Eucharist are all women. I know from experience that the devout and faithful do not stay at those parishes. I imagine your target users to be more on the devout side as well.

### 3/5 — A grateful user

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.48*

I have been using Divine office for a long time
And I want to thank the developer of this app because it is such a joy for me who is Blind to have this?

### 3/5 — Annoying

*2026-05-07*

As a professed Secular Carmelite (OCDS) my opinion is based upon over 30 years of daily recitation of the Liturgy of the Hours. The snail paced recitation and vocal performances are annoying and out of place for communal prayer. No one speaks or prays this slow. Nor, for example, is a performance of Schubert’s Ave Maria usually sung at the end of Night Prayer. The Divine Office is a communal Liturgy with common hymns met to be sung by all and prayers and petitions to be recited at a normal speaking rate. This sounds like a group of theater buffs put this app together (they offer purchases of their performances).
For years I have enjoyed SQPN’s Pray Station Portable during long commutes. It was a straight forward no nonsense production that, unfortunately, is no longer being offered due to the bishops’ upcoming new English translation of the Divine Office. Only a couple Office apps are currently available, so not much choice. Wish I could be more positive. I realize my opinion doesn’t matter that much. It’s just a bit melodramatic.

### 3/5 — My favorite app

*2026-03-24, version 3.2.45*

This is a good app to listen while driving. The selection of hymns is great. The only part that could improve is the translation of the Bible that is used. It’s different than the one in the actual Liturgy of the Hour books. Therefore, I wouldn’t use this app for reading the Divine Office because there are better apps for that.

### 3/5 — A plea

*2025-10-18, version 3.2.20*

I find this App very useful for my daily prayer. However I find some of the voices used all too frequently, off-putting. They detract from the solemnity of the divine office and are rather alarming. Examples being the clownish sounding male voice who pronounces the word measure as “mee-zhewer”, and the woman with the voice that makes each word sound unnecessarily agonised. Use the lovely voices of those like the young man and woman with clear diction who are obviously British, the lovely voice with the lisp and others like them. Please, I cannot bear the agonised old woman and the nasal sounding clown. I apologise if this is uncharitable but these two voices really spoil what would otherwise be a lovely experience.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very important tool for prayer life

*2026-08-28, version 3.2.49*

I must say that without a doubt, this is the most important App in the Apple App Store. It is an invaluable tool to help me keep my personal and Christian community, prayer on track. The staff at ‘The Divine Office App’ have created an online tool that provides me with the option of using my leather bound prayer book or this online App.

### 5/5 — Liturgy of the Hours Go to app

*2026-08-27, version 3.2.49*

This is a great app and is my go to for the Liturgy of the Hours. The only recommendation would be for the text to scroll as the Hours are read as it would make it easier to follow in a hands free situation.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2026-08-26, version 3.2.49*

I have only been using Divine Office for a short time but I love it. When at home I use it on my iPad and when in church I use my iPhone. I prefer the dark background as it seems to be more subtle in terms of light bothering others.
I like everything about the app. The wonderful people who have constructed Divine Office have thought of everything. Thank you.
Pope Leo seems to recommend Mass, The Liturgy of the Hours and the rosary to all Catholics.

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2026-08-25, version 3.2.49*

This is an excellent user friendly app to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. I’ve had it for several years but never got around to writing a review.
One of my favorite features is where you can see where throughout the world people are in prayer.
Lately I’ve noticed much additional content, which is inspirational also.

### 5/5 — It helps

*2026-08-25, version 3.2.49*

I have a tendency of not stopping. My brain keeps going. At the end I get overwhelmed. This helps me stop and pray to God. It gives a solid structure to my day.

### 5/5 — Prayer makes easy

*2026-08-23, version 3.2.49*

The Divine Office helps me to spend time needed with the Lord. This allows me to worship using the psalms and canticles every time I pray. I am grateful.

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2026-08-23, version 3.2.49*

If you are seeking to grow in your devotion and prayer, the Divine Office will help. The Hymns, reading and Psalms really awaken a union with the church outside of the mass. Short consistent prayers have helped me through difficult times, I hope it helps you too.

### 5/5 — Good Feature no ads and updates daily

*2026-08-23, version 3.2.49*

Its not distracting cause there is no ads and it updates daily

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-21, version 3.2.49*

This app is so amazing even though I’m not Catholic, but I think this could be used for anyone with a Christian background it just sounds so good. The prayers everything. keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Absolutely wonderful

*2026-08-19, version 3.2.48*

This is exactly what I was looking for, I love that you can listen to the prayers, read and sung out loud, or pray them on your own. I also love how you can see who else is praying around the world very encouraging!
