I understand why you dont have it but i have a strong feeling a lack of an upload button will kill the platform decently quick. I’ve used vine for a long time and there are pelnty of creators who used video editors and outside platforms to make vines (Zach king, a few Danny Gonzalez vines ect) hell there are even EDITS on the platform that were made with cute cut and whatever the old video editors were. Keeping everything in the app and lacking a good video editor of your own is gonna not only kill the want to upload on your platform but it’s gonna eventually kill the user base all together. Even without an upload button I still see slop uploaded onto your platform, ai generated nonsense and reuploaded clips galore on there. Please, if you want to keep this app alive give us the ability to upload clips. I love the classic record mode the other one is a little annoying with editing, but i use tiktok and have like 35 K followers at the time of writing this so ik how. but i wanted something a bit different and this is absolutely amazing. Lowkey you could probably keep just that classic tap the screen and we go vibe cuz its awesome. Can't wait till more people are on the app, i never leave reviews but i had to! You go to categories and there are thousands of videos. But it just keeps cycling through ones I’ve already seen/liked. I also think there needs to be a not interested feature. There are certain videos I’m just not interested in and I’m sure I’m not the only person that feels that way ### 4/5 — What’s the code to join?? *2026-07-16, version 1.0.16* I signed up for access months ago but never got a code to join, this is ridiculous ### 2/5 — Lag = DOA *2026-07-12, version 1.0.16* I still use Vine on an old iPhone, and the lag in this new app makes it unusable. When I touch the screen, it should be recording, and when I release, it should stop. Not a moment later. This was why I never could get into Instagram videos when they tried to copy Vine's schtick, and it's why I won't get into this app if it's not fixed. Luckily, I still have my trusty SE with iOS 9.3.5 (even though it has to be tethered to a battery at all times...). Also, seems like focus doesn't work. ### 4/5 — About vine *2026-07-07, version 1.0.15* No, the question that I’m curious is about is this gonna be backing up and running like the original vine or is this gonna be something that is going to end up very bad another thing that I’m curious is if they’re ever going to skyrocket they need to fix the lag and they also need to update a whole bunch of their software and quit having the same videos replay and replay if anyone wants to freely go follow me my vine is @darkstar would very appreciate it as well as appreciate this app to go viral. Let’s make 2016 better again ### 5/5 — This is a recommendation so people who use older devices can use this app *2026-07-06, version 1.0.15* Oh I use the iPhone SE first GEN but it doesn’t work on this install on a different phone but I think you should make it work on device to the iOS iOS 9 it will barely function but it should be installed it and it might function I don’t know yet I think maybe iOS 9 is pushing it for a recommendation but I think maybe iOS 12 or 10 is 10 would’ve been nostalgic pull out iOS 10 on your iPhone 5 and start using it yeah that would be cool maybe iOS 9 get some support but I hope this will help you get more people ### 5/5 — Amazing….just like old times *2026-07-06, version 1.0.15* I love this app. It brings back childhood memories and joy with friends. Other than that it’s amazing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Buggy *2026-08-28, version 1.0.20* It constantly shows the same videos by the same creators, sometimes the aspect ratio is completely off so you’re watching a zoomed in version of your favorite vine, and most of the vines you see are the ones from 2016 where they talk about how it’s ending. You’re better off watching YouTube compilations of old vines than using this app. So rushed. ### 1/5 — Frustrierend *2026-08-22* Nutzernamen mit Unterstrich nicht möglich . I literally make 3d vj loops using Blender that are 3-6 seconds long and I can't upload them. No uploading is allowed, everything must be made in app. Not allowed to edit/upload any existing footage or bring in something made in any other software. They claim it's to avoid AI, but it's really just screwing over anyone who doesn't make content they film specifically for this app. It's also funded by jack dorsey, so it's technically open source but like bluesky where the vast majority of people won't be hosting an instance because of the cost. They aren't some small project like they claim, using their code and hosting your own is not viable like they keep saying in their replies. ### 1/5 — Cult like dynamics *2026-08-18, version 1.0.20* The app doesn't work. There is a small community on there that the creators give views too and surpress others. If you question anything about the bugginess and glitches in the app they will shadowban you. How else did we get “There’s only one thing worse than a rapist. Boom. A CHILD.” Yes six seconds is the perfect length for the funnies to happen however if you’ve got a funny moment in a longer video, like say you were waiting for something to line up perfectly, it’s too much to have to remember to SPECIFICALLY OPEN DIVINE rather than your camera app. It’s easier to open the camera app, film it, then go into Divine and trim the clip you’re looking for. And I’m pretty sure the magic clips that were done with editing were done when you could upload videos, so what’s the deal? Right now the app is filled with people who are trying to force old vine humor rather than letting it come naturally, and it’s not fun to be on. It basically has the same tools you would get with adobe Premiere or final cut pro - not to mention you can look up all the old vines as well. The new content creators are literally pretty great and it’s not just 2016 humor like the OG Vine. Some really quality content coming from Late Night Insomniacs Club or #LNIC for short. Can’t wait to see more from this app. Stoked I don’t have to worry about fake AI content. ### 5/5 — Bugs *2026-08-18, version 1.0.20* When you go to type code to verify account on sign up I’m on iPhone 16 pro plus and when I’m done typing code the keypad won’t go away to verify code. So I went back to my email app on yahoo and verified it manually. I had to exit and come back on for it to work. Please fix. And also please add a confirmation on profile that says everything was successful cus idk if I did it correctly. The developers listen and are always improving. When I joined the app, there was a sound upload problem- that was quickly fixed. The edit options are nice and simple and allow for a lot of creative thinking.
