## What is DIY Ridesharing?

The mobilityDIY Ridesharing module and app are part of a community-based solution to mobility that simplifies the carpooling experience by establishing fixed routes and pickup points, making sharing and finding rides easy.  This approach is like public transportation and is remarkable for its transparency, simplicity, and high-level of configurability.  Drivers find routes and times for rides that they are already taking, and passengers look for good pickup and drop-off points along those routes.   Drivers never go out of their way and passengers wait at predetermined times and locations.  The app includes many features including driver tracking, cashless payment system, and a fund-raising capability that makes drivers and passengers feel even better about their decision to carpool.  The ridesharing module is part of a larger mobility platform and is ideal for outlying businesses, cities and towns including suburbia, and event venues.
