Resetting procedures are most tedious. Support is poor both by bot like knowledge base and more so by phone. ### 1/5 — lacks any protection from locking out *2022-03-22, version 2.7.2* poorly designed app and likely also background process in the bank. If updates of the app, or phone switch can kick you out, why do I get no warning? Like: Please update now as long as the old version is not blocked for security reasons. Also to get a TAN to confirm an update, so that the updated version can be used without reconnecting/verifying app related to a particular device. If you ever happen to change your phone - locked out of your banking. Forgot to update your phone number - good luck getting back in. International number - not supported. Then you can’t login and have to change password and reconnect the app on your phone. Dkb always sends out letter with a new access code which takes up to a week. Registering is a process from 2001 where you have to call the customer service and they send a letter. Everything takes days maybe weeks. This is unacceptable these days. Customer service takes days to reply to emails and all is very complicated and unreliable. I got blocked from he app multiple times for no reason and it took weeks, before access was reinstalled. I will be leaving this bank - it’s just too hard and I don’t have the time and nerves dealing with them. ### 1/5 — TAN2go app does not work *2021-05-17, version 2.7.0* I tried multiple times to link tan2go app with my online banking app in order to have access to my bank account - you need this even if you want to access your bank account via browser on the computer - without success! Every time it fails I need to request a new QR code... I have been without access to my dkb bank account over half a year now. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Why does this app even exist? *2021-04-10* DKB already offers a (bad) banking app. Why on earth is the TAN function not rolled into that app? Nobody has two phones, one for the banking app and one for the TAN. So, literally every customer now has to have two apps installed next to each other. That adds absolutely no security benefit. It's a ridiculous complication that just confuses users. DKB, get your act together and develop a single - good - banking app that does what we customers need in one place. ### 1/5 — Worst online banking app *2021-02-16* Dkb has the worst online banking apps out there. Shocking for an online banking provider. Sort yourself out dkb! This is 2021. ### 1/5 — Unnecessarily Complicated *2021-02-06* This app is so difficult to use. In comparison to other banking apps it’s convoluted and not user-friendly at all. The information available even for a seemingly simple issue was so confusing that I called the help line, but the customer service rep I dealt with was very impatient and seemed thoroughly Inconvenienced that I had called at all. Not to mention that the terrible audio quality of the call made it difficult to understand anything. If it weren’t for the other benefits of DKB, this experience would make me consider changing banks. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad User experience *2024-01-26* Updating the OS or hardware will throw this app into a circle of doom. Banking wants you to provide a tan, this app wants you to log in to your banking to verify the connection before generating a tan. Just awful, illogical, frustrating experience. ### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht. *2023-06-30* Meine DKB Einstellungen sagen dass es verbunden für Tan2Go. In the Tan2Go ist null Verbindung. Völlig nutzlos. Super unreliable, extremely confusing website. Only worth the trouble because of good banking conditions. As soon as a competitor offers these conditions - cya guys! ### 1/5 — Keine Verbindung *2023-02-23* Die DKB App Einstellungen sagen dass es verbunden mit the Tan2Go. In the Tan2Go ist null Verbindung. Die DKB ist in letzter Zeit nur eine Hürde nach der anderen. Ich wollte eigentlich eine bessere Lösung als jedes Mal manuell ein TAN zu generieren mit dem Gerät, aber anscheinend ist das doch zuverlässiger. Es wär viel nützlicher wenn man eine der existierenden Authenticator apps nutzen könnte (Microsoft, etc) ### 1/5 — Just does not work *2023-01-06* So bad I am looking at moving banks. No support I’m one of the many customers with issues caused by this rubbish app but you keep ignoring us. We are unable to get back into our banking and can’t access money because your app doesn’t work. Yes, I have looked at your useless website for support and yes, I have called your rude and useless so called “customer service”. All I was told is that I have to write, print and sign a letter to ask for another code to activate the non-functional app. The app was deactivated by your useless support clowns and now I have to write a letter because you’ve not moved on from previous century and don’t accept emails. Your app is useless, you should either buy a new one or redevelop it from scratch. IT DOES NOT WORK but you do not care!
