Play it Loud. *2020-12-17* Music: Delivers what it promises. If you’re interested in the genre at all, this is your new home. And the Wednesday night lineup in particular is required listening. Enjoy. App: Continues to improve. Lost the ability to “unlove” a song, which means that favorites list can get pretty long after a while. Signal hasn’t dropped mid-listen in over a year. ### 5/5 — Best station on earth *2020-01-13* Hands down the best music station on Planet Earth maybe the whole Universe . So much good music broadcast daily from DKFM . I discovered so many cutting edge artist . Personally I have not found another app or website that lets you discover and listen to this wide of a variety of Shoegaze bands all in one place. Not car-friendly STILL no CarPlay integration Buffers at the drop of a hat Hearts are too small to easily click You have to wait until AFTER the song is over to heart it, otherwise the heart doesn’t stick. This revision removed the “thumbs down” button. Either a thumb up or a thumb down indicates interaction, and IMHO downs are just as important as ups. I heavily recommend downloading, but don’t go in without knowing it may misbehave and take some getting used to. ### 3/5 — Great w/ workable problems! *2018-05-31, version 1.1* The new DKFM app is better than the old one, but not as error-free. “Loved” songs favorited by the red heart button disappear as soon as the next song appears at the top of the recent song list. I found a work-around-just don’t favorite your last choice until the next (current) song appears in the list. Then it doesn’t forget. Otherwise, mostly everything is great and the next few updates should get rid of complaints. I <3 DKFM!!! ### 4/5 — Great music. *2021-03-08* The best music station on the web. It's great. The music is excellent. The shows are just what you want. It's expanded my list of artists to follow. I decided I wanted to get a T-shirt to show my love and support the station and that's when I discovered there's an APP! Might as well use this as it's the only station I've been listening to lately. And unlike streaming services that screw the artists AND charge the consumers on a subscription model, DKFM is free to listen and gives a voice to the underrepresented independent artists in shoegaze , dreampop, and beyond. Tune in. Buy their cool merch. Tell your friends. Support on Patreon. Keep a good thing going. (No I don’t work for them. You got it! *2021-11-19* I love that the app starts playing music right when you open it. No fumbling or searching necessary. You get shoegaze right off the bat. I love the access to all the different shows on DKFM. The only improvements that needs to be made is that the song title/ info don’t update when the next song plays.
