Please answer.. Please update and improve this app *2025-01-03, version 2.5.2* How do you connect the app to wifi? Where do you set the temperature of each room? Why are there two areas that display different temperatures? When will the app be fixed? Why does the home shows a different temperature than the schedule temperature. Heat will come on when it’s not suppose to. ### 1/5 — Dangerous, Terrible *2024-12-20, version 2.5.2* This app is absolutely horrible. Do not use it. It randomly flips between Celsius and Fahrenheit, which is pretty scary when it decides you want to heat to 64 degrees Celsius and heats a child’s room to 28. Zero stars. POS. ### 1/5 — Complete Waste *2024-12-02, version 2.5.2* Don’t waste your time or money with this. Don’t even look into it. You will get nowhere. The DKN plus adapter promises to add third party thermostat support via cloud api but the issue lies with the app and the DKN plus module. Even without the third party thermostat connected the app is constantly reporting temperatures 10 degrees different than the room temperature. It also frequently for no reason changes the set point temperature, says the unit is not connected even though the information says it is. Daikin will not talk to home owners so you’re out of luck there. Basically stay away from Daikin and this product and go with another manufacturer. ### 1/5 — Completely worthless *2024-12-02, version 2.5.2* I did the Wi-Fi add on to my mini split system and it doesn’t work at all. All 6 of my units are randomly disconnecting and then it randomly reduces the temperature substantially below what I set. I decide to just use the included remote, but the app randomly changes the set point again and overrides the temp set from the remote. Not only is this a waste of money (the air zone Wi-Fi adapter), I am now just using my inefficient oil burner because my mini splits can’t hold a consistent temperature. It’s one thing to have a slight bug in an app, but it’s another to have an that actively renders your technology useless. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-12-01, version 2.5.2* Most installers will tell you the add-on wi-fi units are terrible. Ours have been working ok (though the interface looks like it was designed on a Commodore 64), but today the app just stopped altogether, hanging endlessly on start up. ### 1/5 — Frustrating !!! *2024-12-01, version 2.5.2* We have this unit in our condo - we did not purchase it, nor would we have chosen it!- app states we can update firm where ... but can't. Unit now randomly goes on standby or looses connection and the only way to get it off standby is to be at the wall thermostat. The only way to get it connected is to wait. There have been times when away from home that I loose connection only to show up at home and find the heater on full heat setting and max fan making the house feel like a furnace. Not great in the middle of summer. Months later, one of the head units no longer connects to the app. It says something when the poor 3rd party Sensibo app connects to the head units when this one has issues. Regards. ### 1/5 — Please Support Home/Away Settings *2024-09-25, version 2.5.2* This is an extremely basic app, the fatal flaw of the scheduling function is a lack of location awareness / geofencing. Any night I am not home I have to manually turn off both units schedule me and then turn them back on when I am home. Inexcusable to lack this basic feature in 2024 when other Daikin apps already do this. ### 1/5 — If I could give it 0 stars, I would *2024-07-25, version 2.5.2* This app is absolutely useless. I wish I had known this before we bought a Daiken…we would have bought a different brand. One that the app ACTUALLY works, instead of “DKN Not Connected.” How about updating the app so IT WILL WORK!!! It’s obvious you don’t care about your customers, or you would. Several people have asked me what brand we bought. I tell them but add “I don’t recommend it” and tell them why. ### 1/5 — Frustrating App *2024-07-20, version 2.5.2* My Daikin Units have been losing connection on and off for years. It usually self resolves but I often have to reconfigure the units— sometimes it’s as simple as reconfiguring them, but sometimes I have to remove the units completely and configure them all over again. Unfortunately, I removed one of the units and although it appears in my Bluetooth as being connected, it will give me an ERROR GETTING DATA or it will go back to the “Configure Units” list but not allow further configuration. Worked ok before, only a few times a year this would happen. Would be great if this issue was fixed soon. Hard to control unit without the app. ### 1/5 — Change the temperature twice and forget the app *2026-03-07, version 2.5.2* The app is slow, tends to fall out of sync with the unit. Then when it works you change the temperature a couple times and the app tells you AC unit not connected! Have two new units and the wifi module is the AirZone one and it is absolutely awful. Most of the time it says the unit is not connected. Never had this problem with my previous units. Set point temperatures for all AC Units drift constantly, my house is always too hot or wasting energy when I’m not home because the set points change all day long and all night long. My installer spent hours over several days troubleshooting my units, I’ve reset them, reinstalled them, the issue is this app. DKN can do better. ### 1/5 — Absolute trash *2026-01-09, version 2.5.2* I don’t understand companies that make fifty apps all of which are terrible, no one understands what the real purpose of each is for and they can’t even stay connected or reconnect like a $5 smart plug. My mini split works good but this app constantly disconnects. Refuses to reconnect. Takes minutes to think in between each of those actions. Complete waste of time. Instead of paying people to respond to your terrible reviews like it is each user that has their own problem put those resources to making a functional app. ### 1/5 — Nearly worthless *2025-12-06, version 2.5.2* I’ve had this controller for my mini split for about a year now. I thought I just couldn’t work it until I read the reviews. There hasn’t been an update forever so I guess there is no intent to make it operable. ### 1/5 — Horrible operation *2025-10-28, version 2.5.2* It continues to lose connection and can only be connected again when your are within a few feet of the unit. Bluetooth connection need to be close so useless if you away trying to monitor. Very disappointed. Has not been updated for 2 years. ### 1/5 — Almost unusable *2025-10-09, version 2.5.2* Some of the strangest behavior I’ve ever seen in an app. The automatic mode makes no sense. It sets the temperatures arbitrarily, and you can’t set the upper and lower limit separately. Once you click automatic mode, it kicks you back to either heat or cool, and only allows you to set one or the other, with the second value being a mystery. If you start on the cool and then try to set the heat temp, it completely turns off the cooling boundary. We use this in our baby’s room and it has caused so many problems with either overheating or over-cooling her room. Well they don’t. Glitchiest app I use for my smart home. When it works it will for a quick 10 seconds then loses all the handlers as soon as you change a setting. Do better Dailin. I am about ready to trash all your thermostats and demand money back because of how they mesh with the app. Just a rookie product. Get a Honeywell or eco bee thermostat. Try again later.” UPDATED: the app is working now. Thanks developers. ### 3/5 — Cannot connect iPhone via Bluetooth to connect to WIFI *2022-12-02, version 2.3.0* This app has not been updated for 11 months. An “Error getting data” error occurs when user tries to establish a WIFI connection between an Airzone device and the local WIFI network. It makes the Airzone device useless for controlling Daikin heat pump heads remotely. The DKN Cloud NA app appears in the settings that allow Bluetooth but not in the newer “Local Network” Privacy settings in iOS 13 and higher. Maybe the developer of the DKN Cloud NA app needs to update it to support the “Local Network” privacy permission setting? UPDATE: Developer finally advised that this app does not work with iPhone 6S and older. Worked after upgrading to iPhone 13. ### 3/5 — It works *2022-04-20, version 2.2.11* App so far has been running well, but the room temp is not showing up on the app. This is actually a disappointment and the reason I wanted to Wi-Fi ability. I could not connect to my unit using my iPhone 15 - it kept saying “Bluetooth not enabled” even though it was. I finally tried my iPad - downloaded the app, logged in, and the app found my unit and I was able to connect and update the WiFi network.
