If an option is not going to work, why offer it? If you choose to log in with your Thai ID, don’t even think about copying it from your records and pasting into the app. Paste doesn’t work, you have to type in all 13 digits. A calendar will pop up after you fill out info and what you want to do ie : drivers license, car registration etc and shows you what days are available. In a few minutes I had my QR code and appointment to renew my license 4 days from the day I signed in.
