Freeze reports (Help > Freeze Reports) now capture far more detail about what the app was doing when it stopped responding, which makes freezes much easier for us to track down and fix. ### 2.19.0 — 2026-08-28 MEETING CAPTURE Record a meeting and mark the moments that matter — a photograph, a sketch, or a typed note. Each one is stamped with where it happened in the recording, so when the diagram is built it knows which picture belongs to which part of the discussion instead of guessing. Photograph a whiteboard without leaving the app. Sketch on the spot with a pencil or a finger. Type a note as it is being said. A photograph you add from your library is placed by when it was TAKEN rather than when you added it, so a whiteboard shot three minutes in still belongs to minute three. The capture bar now works on the Mac as well, and appears by itself whenever a recording starts — including one started from the Record panel in the sidebar. BETTER TRANSCRIPTION, IF YOU WANT IT Settings now offers a second recogniser, Whisper, which is markedly more accurate when several people are talking in a room. It runs entirely on your device and needs a one-time 148 MB download; it is English only. Apple's recogniser remains the default and is unchanged. If you choose Whisper before the download has finished, recordings still transcribe on Apple's — and say so, rather than quietly giving you a worse transcript. EXPORT FIXES FOR IPAD PDF export produced the connecting lines and nothing else — no shapes, no text. It now exports the whole drawing. Exports were also mirrored top to bottom: the chart came out upside down, with each label the right way up. PNG and PDF are now the right way round and match what you see on the canvas. SVG export ran multi-line labels together on a single line. Each line is now a line. Choosing an export type no longer shows a blank window the first time you do it in a session. WITH THANKS The export problems were reported by a customer with the files to prove them, which is the only reason the second one — the mirroring — was found at all. Nobody had ever mentioned it. ### 2.18.4 — 2026-08-27 An imported picture now lands where you are looking. If you had panned or zoomed the canvas, an imported image was placed somewhere else in the document entirely — far enough away to be off screen, so it looked as though the import had simply failed. Restarting the app appeared to fix it, because that resets the canvas to the one position where the old behaviour happened to be correct. Pictures now arrive in the middle of what you are actually looking at. This affected Import Image, Import from Photos, and pasting. Dragging a picture onto the canvas was always correct. ### 2.18.1 — 2026-08-25 Performance and diagnostics. NO MORE PAUSE WHILE THE APP SAVES The app keeps a recovery copy of your work every thirty seconds. On a large drawing that meant a visible pause, because all of it — including your undo history, which on a busy document is most of the file — was written while you waited. That now happens in the background. Nothing about what is saved has changed; your History is kept in full, and still animates. Large documents also open faster. BETTER FREEZE REPORTS If the app ever stops responding, it writes down what happened so you can send it in. Three fixes to that: • One freeze is now reported as one freeze. It used to give up waiting after a while and start a new report, so a single long stall arrived as three separate ones. • The timer measured its own progress rather than the clock, and ran at a low enough priority that a busy device left it behind.
