The membership card function is also very antiquated as it doesn't support cards in Apple Wallet. FYI, both the Denver Zoo and Denver Botanic Gardens support the Apple Wallet membership card functionality. Having to open a separate app to get a membership card requiring a good internet connection to work right (for me this is not possible while in the DMNS building) feels very disjointed like the developer wanted to reinvent the wheel. I also am not sure what the notification system is for because it doesn't really provide much detail, just headlines of information and then links to the DMNS website. This seems like unnecessary complexity and overhead that could just be in a newsletter. Overall the app seems fairly stable with pleasant colors, though even the layout of the app doesn't follow Apple's design guidelines. ### 3/5 — Wish I could put it in my Apple Wallet *2021-10-15, version 4.1.20* I am able to put my Denver Art Museum and Denver Botanical garden cards in my wallet, but this one doesn’t have that option. ### 1/5 — Poorly integrated *2020-09-19, version 3.2.2* When I purchase an exhibit or movie ticket I should be able to find it on the app. I should also be able to purchase tickets on the app. ### 1/5 — How bad can an app be? *2019-03-09, version 3.2.2* Doesn’t work. That would make this a five star app. ### 1/5 — Why hybrid apps fail *2019-01-18, version 3.2.2* It’s obvious that this app was designed to work across phone platforms. I get it. You want to reduce maintenance costs on code and provide a nice app experience. This is clearly a case of you can’t have your cake and eat it too. All we want is an app that registers our card into the virtual wallet, shows us hours, allows us to purchase passes for current exhibitions and movies (and hold those tickets virtually), allows us to see remaining guest passes and use them. We don’t need traffic alerts. We don’t want constant crashes. We don’t like the horrible, ugly interface. There are ways to build cross-platform apps that don’t make the iPhone look like a cheap 2008 android knock-off, but it takes time and skill and requires more care and maintenance. In the mobile age, apps have more impact on your branding image than websites. Treat it’s development accordingly. ### 1/5 — This App stinks *2019-01-17, version 3.2.2* Just got a membership & would love to use it on my phone however this app can’t connect to the servers to validate my code. Have tried several times. Based on other reviews I don’t see this improving should I retry tomorrow. Quite annoying. ### 1/5 — Unbelievable *2018-06-29, version 3.2.2* They send me an email telling me to use the app so i download the app only so they cam tell me they dont recognize me email...that they used to ask me to sign in on the app. So i find my member number on my welcome letter ans it sends me a password reset link. Never had a password though so it still doesnt recognize it. This app will not work for more than one person. Every time I request a new validation code it sends two. when I enter the first one it says it has expired when I enter the second one it says membership error. When the sign in error occurs and I click on message details it says 20. This means nothing to me. It seems like this was not QA’d properly. I encourage the developers to try the different functional paths through the application. You will quickly see why users are getting very frustrated. The flows through the application do not make much sense and many of them are unnecessary. Why are there pop up windows in a mobile application? ### 1/5 — Also can’t login *2018-01-01, version 3.2.1* Like at all. You had one job, DMNS app developers. UPDATE: I emailed customer service to correct the issue and they advised they had manually registered my email to the database. Attempted again and no dice. I offered to provide phone build and OS information to tech support, had a plastic card printed and gave up. Nobody has responded yet. Good luck with this app. ### 1/5 — Can’t sign in *2017-11-14, version 3.2.0* I already have an account online. Instead of letting me login with my existing password, the app forces me through the new account screen. It rejects my password because it contains special characters. The password works fine on the web. I signed out and logged in several time, even deleted and reinstalled the app, and still nothing. I have to login to my account thru Safari to get the card barcode. I also can’t see what tickets I’ve purchased or have left to use. It’s just pretty terrible. ### 1/5 — Not Currently Working *2023-08-31, version 6.089* The sign-in “token” process does not work consistently. And once you are in the app, the e-card doesn’t show up. We have to go to the front desk every time. It worked last year ok. You would think at minimum you could purchase and save your tickets on the app to be scanned once you arrive. Nope. The app in the past was great it showed my member barcode and the list of tickets I bought for special events. Now all I get is a join now button and that button is dead. No links. Nothing. Logged out logged back in. Uninstalled reinstalled. Nothing. Fire whoever updated this app. They are nincompoops. Find yourselves a better app developer. Apple If you’re monitoring this app, kick these guys out of the App Store. They are ridiculously inept. ### 1/5 — No card for me? *2021-12-01, version 4.1.20* When my husband and I signed up for the family plus membership we both listed an email but he was the only one to get an email with instructions for the app. When trying to use the app it says my email is unrecognized. I can pull up his but I don’t know if the museum will even let me in with this. Terrible design to have two people be able to use the membership but only one log in to actually access it. I hate to think of the nightmare for people that choose to add a 3rd or 4th adult to their account. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work! *2021-09-03, version 4.1.20* Will not show my membership or allow me to do anything with my membership. I just had to verify my account via code sent by email or text (I chose email). Code came in immediately and it signed right in. My favorite aspect is being able to redeem the Science Lounge tickets that are included with the Young Professionals Membership! I also love that you can send tickets to a friend. This most recent update fixes many of the earlier quirks on registering my device. Also, the Facebook sign-in makes it way easier to use!
