Come on.... FIXED! *2011-04-20, version 1.3* Here's an update to my earlier review. IT'S FIXED! Thanks for listening! 8^) Previous review: Seems to work once you figure out the format requirements. It's pretty lame to require the direction abreviations, N, S, E, W to be input in upper case only! Once you figure that out, it seems fine. (Escecially funny since they brag about their "fuzzy parsing logic". 8^) Thanks for making it free and with a little work could be a nice clean, mean app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hard to use in the airplane *2021-08-28, version 2.4* This app is very hard to use in the airplane as it requires a precise spacing format with correct symbols. There are much easier formats on Google where they make the entry process easier. The manufacturer needs to update this. Great for us ham operators when out in the field when accurate info is a necessity. P.S. It's 6 years later and now it doesn't work anymore. No updates to program since 2014!!!!! Doesn't work within the iOS 11 realm. Too bad. ### 4/5 — Great For A Pilot *2013-12-09, version 2.2* I'm a pilot, and often do aerial photography, surveying, and other ground-based operations where I need custom waypoints, not those already officially published. This app does great work converting when different hardware and software use different lat/long formats. I just wish there was a way to import/export directly to/from the aviation mapping app "ForeFlight" to create a flight track without needing to manually transfer the coordinates. ### 4/5 — good app *2013-11-28, version 2.2* good app ### 4/5 — Not a daily use item *2013-09-05* Not something you have constant call for but when you need to do it this one works. Very simple to use, clear output. Some of my co workers use DMS and some use DD. This Ap is a very simple tool to quickly convert between the two. Especially useful when comparing data from AIS and/or VDR data downloads. ### 5/5 — Great ap *2015-07-31, version 2.3* It does something extremely useful for converting from GPS decimal readout to latitude and longitude in degrees, minutes, and seconds as they are used on nautical charts. It is a big time saver for me. Mapping reference calculated agrees with my tom tom sat nav so happy even though car map looks a bit different. Willing to believe car map isn't quite right (until proved otherwise) ### 5/5 — Great App - Grossartig *2013-11-18* Genau was ich gesucht habe, um Grad, Minuten und Sekunden in die oft benötigten Dezimalwerte umzuwandeln. Sehr praktisch ist auch die integrierte Map-Funktion, sogar mit der Wahl ob Google od. Apple 👍👍 Nachtrag: Schade, dass die vollwertige Log-Funktion mit € 6,99 ganz schön teuer ist. Dennoch positiv, dass die Grundfunktion ebenso gratis ist wie DMS Convert selbst - und ebendiese für passable € 0,89 upgedatet werden kann ### 5/5 — Geocaching just got easier! *2012-09-12, version 1.7* I recently started attempting multi-caches with my girlfriend. This app helps out in a MAJOR way. We were fumbling over my old GPS device, the maps app, and bad guesswork. This app has saved us a lot of time! Very user friendly ### 5/5 — Simple & effective. *2012-04-07, version 1.6* I need to record gps coord's in decimal form for work and this app is perfect. Simple and effective it works as advertised. Open the app and hit update from device to get your current location displayed in DMS and decimal. Tells you the gps accuracy in meters and you can quickly check in map view to make sure your device has correctly acquired the location.
