## What is Doblin?

Most to-do apps are drawers. Doblin is a companion.

You don't put things off because you have nothing to do — you put them off because there's too much. So Doblin shows you one thing: the task that matters right now. Finish it, and the next one appears.

ONE TASK AT A TIME
Open the app and there's no wall of items to triage. Just what's next, chosen from due dates, priority and how long it's been waiting. Not ready for it? Skip to the next one.

CAPTURE IN A SECOND
Type "buy milk tomorrow 7pm" and Doblin sets the title and the due date for you — in your own language. Add one after another without the keyboard ever dropping.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-15

Nothing on screen changes in this update.

Doblin can now tell which of its own features actually get used. The first-run tour, checklists and reminders all shipped without any way to know, so the next thing built was going to be built on a guess.

What is sent is still only the kind of action and how often — never what you wrote. Task titles, notes and dates have never left your device and still don't, the full list is spelled out in the privacy policy, and Settings › Privacy still switches all of it off in one tap.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-31

Late tasks stop hiding, and reminders became yours to set.

• A task past its due date says how late it is — "2 days late", "Over a month late" — instead of showing a date in the same grey as everything else.
• One tap moves it. An overdue task on Now offers "Due today" and "Due tomorrow"; the list sorts itself and you are already on the next thing. Tap it by mistake and the toast takes it back.
• Reminders are their own thing now. Open a task, tap Reminders, and tick as many as you like — at the due time, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or a day before — or add an exact time from the picker. A task with no due date can have one too.
• Nothing notifies unless you ask it to. Tasks you already had keep the reminder they were getting.
• The Now card no longer eats your swipes. Dragging up and down scrolls the page, and the card only changes once you let go.
• Doblin moves around. It drifts a little, crouches before a hop and lands squashed, never quite the same way twice. Reduce Motion still stops all of it.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-20

Big tasks can be broken into steps now.

• Open a task and add a checklist. Each step gets its own tick.
• Task rows and the Now card show how far along you are — "1/3". Tap that to open the steps and tick one off without leaving the list.
• Finishing a task ticks off whatever is left. Finishing a step never finishes the task for you — that stays your call.
• A repeating task starts its checklist over each time it comes round.
• Doblin saves faster. Ticking something off used to get slower the more you had left to do; now it doesn't.
• The widget catches up. It shows the date as well as the time, the task's priority, and how far through its checklist you are.
• Notifications have something to say. They used to read "It's time." every single time; now the words change with the hour, and late at night they tell you tomorrow is fine.
• Fixes: the first-run tour is now readable with VoiceOver, and at the largest text sizes the Now card no longer hides its due date behind the capture bar.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-18

Doblin now shows you what it can do, instead of hoping you find out.

• The capture bar suggests a real example — "Buy milk tomorrow 3pm" — and changes it each time you open the app. Type a time into the title and Doblin sets the due date for you, in your own language.
• A short two-step tour on your first visit, skippable at any point and reopenable from Settings > Help.
• The widget finally speaks your language. It had been English on every device since the first release.
• Fixes: "tonight 9" now means the evening, not the morning. The Now card shows the date as well as the time, and long task names stay readable instead of being cut short.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-11

Doblin now reports crashes, so they can actually get fixed.

• Crash reports and anonymous usage statistics are sent from this version on, so bugs get found and the features nobody uses can be cut. What you type — task titles, notes, dates — is never sent, and there is still no account and no advertising.
• You can turn it off: Settings > Privacy > Send usage data. It stops immediately.

The full list of what gets reported is public in the source code, and the privacy policy has been rewritten to describe exactly what leaves your device.
