My itinerary wasn’t fully set even by the time the trip started, so things stayed pretty fluid. While preparing, I was browsing NYC-related reels on Instagram and loved being able to easily save places I wanted to visit directly into the app. During the trip, I added places as my plans came together, almost like documenting my journey in real time. The app has an amazing UI / UX - clean, neat, intuitive and thoughtfully designed. It’s one of those products where you immediately know the attention to detail by the developers. Though it’s still evolving, I can see the potential in the app transforming into one that can help users find inspiration, plan and organize their trips with the power of AI. I particularly liked the 'Explore Mode'. When you activate it and wander around, the app detects your location and provides information about nearby attractions. It felt like walking while listening to the radio. It would be nice to visit if an interesting place comes up. Could you email support@docentpro.com with a bit more detail: the email you signed up with, what happened when you tried sharing from Instagram, which place you were searching for and where in the app you typed it, and what you saw after tapping Save? Pulling places from Facebook links is not supported yet. The good news is a screenshot of the post still gets you every place, and links work directly from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, web pages, and Google Maps lists. If Facebook is where you save most, just tell us at support@docentpro.com and we will know it matters. Happy travels! The DocentPro team ### 3/5 — AWESOME, BUT FREEEQUENT FORCED UPDATES *2026-09-04* Super useful. Finally I can make use of all my saved insta posts, BUT… especially mid-travel when you often have limited internet access, it is annoying AFFFF when you’re out and about and go into the app and are forced to update. Unless some major structural reason exists, such updates should never be forced, or at a minimum users should be given several versions’ worth of warnings (each at least a few days/weeks apart) before forcing an update. If this keeps happening, you’ll force my hand to develop a competing service.. which i may do anyhow bc the other major issue is that you don’t have web access, only app access… so my chatgpt bot and grokbots can’t access to integrate with the broader trip planning i do there. But the SpotFetch part of your app is the truly brilliant piece. If y’all figure out the other parts and round out the service, you’ll keep me off your tail when i finish my current projects (~4-6 weeks)… and will also happily pay whenever you start charging! 🤘🏽 **Developer response:** We hear you, and the frustration makes sense. We are a small team that ships often, partly because we want good new things in your hands quickly, and partly because we want a bug that hurts the experience gone quickly. The cost of that lands on you at the worst possible moment, on the road with barely any signal.
