### 4/5 — New and improved

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

The new app is so much better! Previously it was hard to navigate and lacked the ability to find what you needed quickly. The new app is much more user friendly and makes it easy to find your hearings, completed matters, and new hearings/bundles to cover. Docketly overall is one of the better coverage services. Although sometimes the volume of work you get is simply based on how quickly you can hit the “cover” button. It doesn’t favor attorneys who are responsible, professional, and represent the firm they are covering for at the highest level. It seems to favor attorneys who take a high volume of cases, but apart from that, I’m happy with the new app and I’m glad they gave it an upgrade!

### 4/5 — Definite Improvement

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

I didn’t use the app previously, I simply went to the website, because the app lacked any real functionality. This upgrade is a definite improvement.

### 5/5 — Improved Functionality. Thank You!

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

This new version looks like it is going to be easier to navigate. But my biggest compliment is that there is more functionality here to complete the most common tasks that I normally complete on Docketly’s website. For instance, filing a hearing report. Some past versions of this app would allow appearance counsel to file what I might term an abbreviated hearing report. For example, there was not a spot to add future hearing date information. So if I used the app to file a hearing report all I could do in that circumstance was to mention the next hearing date in my narrative. With this new app it looks like I will be able to file a hearing report using Docketly‘s app and it be as complete and accurate as it would have been if I waited until I got back to my office to file the report on Docketly’s website. This should allow appearance counsel to file hearing reports sooner after the completion of our hearings using this improved version of Docketly’s app. Thank you for making this investment, Docketly!

### 5/5 — Great company to work with and very good app

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

I’ve been working with Docketly for several years now as an appearance counsel for their clients. I’ve been very pleased with the assignments and professionalism of the company. One reviewer gave a one star and complained about the timelines of payment. That has not been my experience at all. This is not a full time job. It’s a great supplement to your practice and a great way to get to know the various judges and to keep a foot in the courthouse so the judges and court personnel get to know you. Just to give the reader perspective, I’ve been a trial attorney for over 30 years.

### 5/5 — Great app and product

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

I have been using Docketly for some time now, approximately two years actually, and am happy with the company. The app is easy to navigate and search and the customer support has been great, even reaching out to just check on how things are going. -

### 5/5 — Coverage Application

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

As a regular coverage attorney, this new release makes it even easier to provide my results straight from the courthouse! New format makes the review of new cases for coverage easier with more information at my fingertips!!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-07-28, version 3.0.0*

The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App cuts off numbers and letters

*2023-07-24, version 3.5.0*

The app is fairly useless to me. It cuts off critical information, making it difficult for me to accurately decide if I can cover a hearing. Partial locations and partial dollar amounts are shown in the app. Also, sometimes I cannot make out the hearing date in the app.The bugs really need worked out so it can work with an iPhone. When I am on my computer, there is a wealth of information—all accurately displayed.

### 1/5 — Good in theory

*2019-08-05, version 2.8.0*

They insist that lawyers who work with them arrive at court on time, prosecute their cases as instructed and report in a timely fashion. And that's fine. That's what being a lawyer is all about. The down side is that, no matter what day of the week the end of the month is and no matter how efficiently you report hearing results to them, THEY PAY YOU WHEN THEY PAY YOU. So if you have a mortgage payment due at the beginning of the month, for example, be prepared to wait awhile after the first of the month to get paid - even if you use direct deposit.

### 2/5 — Problem with App

*2019-12-13, version 2.9.2*

The app has serious problems with uploading docs. Documents are often cutoff upon upload from photos. Have to load directly from camera. Sometimes, when in app, links open to a blank page. This is a problem when you have to back up and select link again because the job gets selected by another when you are trying to get the selection page to open. Not reliable!

### 3/5 — Unreliable

*2025-06-04, version 3.8.4*

False “narrative” errors. Horrible document upload! Quirky.

### 3/5 — Submitting results is a overly cumbersome

*2021-10-28, version 3.2.0*

to submit hearing results using the app, coverage counsel must scroll through dozens of radio buttons spread out over five screens. The "next hearing" function is a Calendar widget that is more difficult to use than simply entering a date and time. The results functions of the app appear to have been created without input from those who actually use the app in court.

### 3/5 — The app is okay.

*2021-08-02, version 3.0.0*

The app’s fonts and colors are crisp and professional. However, the functionality of the app is even less user friendly than the previous version. The app would be better if the following changes are implemented:
-if offers are customizable;
-if the hearings available stated the day of the week, not just the date; and
- if the dashboard included points or attorney status.

Unlike the previous version, the app does not crash when a hearing is rejected.

### 3/5 — Lags and One Size Fits All

*2021-07-29, version 3.0.0*

The app is great but it lags giving other attorney competitors a chance to grab the appearance before you can. Also, every case appearance is different and the reporting should be tailored as such. The makers of the app should consider tailoring the reporting by the category of case to which the appearance relates. Finally, the firms hiring the appearing attorneys fail to include ALL of the required evidence to prove up the case. Often times the requesting law firms are out of the city/state and do not sufficiently know the local laws so the case is unprepared at the start. But the appearing attorneys live in the jurisdiction and have to face these judges again and again. Appearing attorney pay should be higher for staking our reputations on losing cases that are ill prepared.

### 4/5 — Much better

*2021-08-30, version 3.0.3*

The new app is way better than the last. It is more clear and easier to navigate with less clutter. Mobile reporting is easier as well.

### 4/5 — Definitely works

*2021-08-27, version 3.0.3*

Doesn’t always show the same information as the website in real-time but is definitely useful for a quick glance to see if anything is available.

### 4/5 — So much better

*2021-07-30, version 3.0.0*

This app is now so much better since they updated it! Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Pre-release App Review

*2021-08-30, version 3.0.3*

Just updated and took a look around. The interface appears much more user friendly. The true test will be submission of reports via app— I’ll report back after I’ve had occasion to try that out. Definitely five stars from what I’ve seen this far.
