The content is excellent and the service is efficient, clean and full of user centred design. Thanks DocPlay for expanding my mind. It’s become such a common practice wwi & wwii shouldn’t be included in history sections & should have their own. But the app itself often crashes for me. I’m using the 2022 iPad Pro, and the app just crashes when i open up certain titles. But what’s the point of having a download option in the app if you still need an internet connection to launch the app? ”Downloaded” a couple of interesting docs to watch on a flight. On the plane “please check your Internet connectivity and try again”… I don’t want to check my Internet, I just want to watch the docs I “downloaded”. Unfortunately I don’t get a lot of time to watch things at home, so most of my screen time is travel. Unfortunately for whatever reason this app doesn’t support offline viewing. Also zero subtitles. Some docs have unbalanced sound (not big production style), so subtitles would be greatly beneficial so you don’t have a constant loud background noise while trying to listen to whatever is being said. Great potential, but still needs work. Not sure I’ll be continuing my subscription. ### 1/5 — If I could give less than 1 star I would *2022-01-06* For the last month my DOCPLAY app hasn’t been working. Every time I open it it crashes, I’ve reinstalled it multiple times, restarted my phone, etc. their support team hasn’t gotten back to me either. Very disappointing as I would love to continue using the app. ### 2/5 — Poor app and no subtitles *2021-12-16* Quite disappointing to not find the app for (older) Samsung TV’s nor fire stick or also to not being able to download movies onto device to watch offline. Finally, no subtitles at all!? Some movies have really poor sound amd can be sometimes difficult for a non-native to understand. Some good content but considering cancelling for those reasons. ### 4/5 — Best accidental find ever *2021-09-22* I love documentaries so this app was a welcome surprise. I’ve had it for 3 or 4 days and have at least 20 in my watchlist already. Topics are well represented by a diverse type of film. I’d love a weather category as well (hint hint). However, using the app on two different AppleTV devices, it crashes on both. Sometimes it’s just a matter of hitting the back button and the hitting play. But it just completely crashed and sent me back to the AppleTV homepage.
