### 1/5 — Would not load

*2025-11-20, version 0.15.2*

I would write a better review but I can't even play the game. The past number of days every time that I try load it up, it says that it is down for maintenance. This has been happening for days now.

### 4/5 — Multiplayer

*2025-09-30, version 0.15.2*

There is no way that you can start a multiplayer up. It asked you but u can’t get a code if you can’t find one or or host one

### 5/5 — Fun but doesn't work anymore.

*2025-09-05, version 0.15.2*

I am playing this game since 2 weeks and today, September 4th 2025, three games in-a-row doesn't work. The loading stop and nothing happen.

### 1/5 — Follow K-9 where?

*2025-08-08, version 0.15.2*

Stuck at the loading screen, restarted twice. 10 minutes loading each time. Bye!

### 1/5 — I can’t play!

*2025-07-09*

Every time I click the play button, it starts to load and then it sends me back to the main menu.

### 3/5 — Loved this, but then…

*2025-06-12, version 0.15.2*

I’ve loved playing this and would have given it 5 stars, until the next season launch was extended twice. Now I’ve lost interest as the incentives to play have become repetitive and I’m biding my time to see what the next launch is like. Plus, I seem to be playing against the same players who I win against nearly every time. It’s made me think I’m sometimes playing against bots as the opposing strategies are sometimes unusual! I had such high hopes and could be tempted back if there’s more refreshing content

### 4/5 — Painfully Slow

*2025-06-05, version 0.15.2*

In theory, this should be one of my favourite mobile games; I love Doctor Who and I love Marvel Snap, the game this was clearly inspired by. Unfortunately the animations in this game are SO slow, to the point where matches are taking twice as long as they’d need to.

As a side note, the tutorial is terrible. It tells you what to do, but doesn’t do a great job of telling you how or why you’re doing it. Yes, it’s pretty easy to intuit if you’ve played this sort of game before, but not so much if you’re new to mobile card games, or card games in general.

### 2/5 — Tutorial Needs an Overhaul

*2025-05-09*

The tutorial doesn’t explain anything so I have no idea how to actually play this.

### 5/5 — ALLONS-Y!

*2025-04-10*

Really fun and addicting game! Very upfront Doctor Who oriented, all the characters we love. I’ve been playing for hours here at work, fun distraction from doomscrolling. Keeps me engaged learning the cards, how to play them, strategies and great rewards. Spent a very small amount of $ for the Welcome pack and no issues to complain of.

### 5/5 — 100/10 love this game

*2025-02-14, version 0.15.1*

So so fun, love every aspect.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.15.2 — 2025-02-26

Doctor Who: Worlds Apart version 0.15.2 is here! It's a more of an 'under the hood' update with plenty of visual, audio and quality of life improvements, as well as 30+ bug fixes!

### 0.15.1 — 2025-02-10

We are BACK with another big update to Doctor Who: Worlds Apart, right as we open up to the UK & USA for a limited period!

That’s right, if you’re in the UK & US you can now play Doctor Who: Worlds Apart on the bus, the couch, or… anyway! Just head to your App Store to enjoy some rip-roaring action through time and space!

Now, onto some of the improvements we’ve made in v0.15

Ranks for the feedback!

We’ve heard your feedback about the ranking system and leaderboard, so we’ve made it a priority to improve them in this release.

We want to make sure everyone feels included, so from 0.15.0 onwards ALL players will be on the leaderboard, regardless of how many Rank Points they’ve earned. We hope this change gives people a better sense of where they sit competitively, and it gives players an incentive to keep playing to improve their progress.

With this in mind, we’ve made some quality of life improvements to make it more apparent where you sit on the leaderboard and the rewards on offer — your leaderboard position will be shown on the main rank screen, and you can view the full leaderboard by clicking on your rank.

We’ve also made a change to how end of season rewards for both the rank ladder and leaderboards are displayed — you’ll now see these summarised on the main rank screen, making it easier to see what you’ll receive.

Master Deck Builders… Rejoice!

Think yourself a bit of a strategist? A bit of a deck building maestro? Well, now you can put that to the test by easily sharing your unique creations with the world!

We’ve introduced a new Deck Import/Export feature that allows you to copy deck codes for your own builds and share them, or take one that looks interesting and easily import it into your game.

This should make sharing decks loads easier going forwards, and we may even send some from our very own developers your way for a bit of inspiration…

All of this can be done from the new Collection screen.

Friends, Reunited?

Ever thought that a friend of yours might really enjoy Doctor Who: Worlds Apart, but didn’t know how to introduce them? Well, now we have the ways and means to reward BOTH of you!

Refer a Friend is a new feature that allows you to invite as many people as your heart desires, and you will both be rewarded for doing so.

Simply grab your Referral Code from your Account Settings, and give it to a friend who doesn’t have a DW:WA account. When they sign up, they should enter the code. Then, when they reach 35 Stars on the Star Path, both you and that friend will receive 1,000 Azbantium Crystals!

That’s enough to dip into the store and bolster your collection with a Capsule, or perhaps grab some extra Data Credits to upgrade your favourite cards.

And then it’s time to face off against your mates in a bid for glory across time and space!

Other changes in v0.15

We have a bunch of other changes in v0.15, which you can view in the Patch Notes on our website.

This has been a big update for the team ahead of our expansion into the UK and US, and one we’ve been excited to release.

### 0.14.0 — 2024-12-09

Welcome back to another Doctor Who: Worlds Apart update! v0.14.0 sees us add further improvements to new player onboarding, changes to the main menu and an update to Collection Levels. Let’s dive in!

Updated Main Menu

When you boot up the game you’ll see a new and improved main menu, including a brand-new suite of icons that better represent their areas. These new icons are designed to feel more like they’re part of the Whoniverse, and continue our efforts to bring you more immersion.

We’ve also improved Player customisation, giving you a more intuitive way to put your stamp on the game. Just click on your avatar as usual and explore avatars, banners and titles.

Updated Collection Level

This update sees Collection Level re-named to Star Path and now shows the total number of stars collected. Stars are the resource earned from upgrading cards and the star count is what unlocks rewards on the Star Path! The more cards you upgrade, the more rewards you can get access to on the Star Path. This is part of our ongoing improvements to naming conventions to bring greater clarity to players, and more synergy with the Whoniverse.

Onboarding

Onboarding new players has been a top priority, to make sure they have the best experience possible and want to stay with us to play!

This update brings a completely new experience — not only is there a tutorial, but we now navigate new players more carefully through the early stages of the game. This includes their first two matches, as well as important features such as upgrading cards, completing quests and gaining XP.

All of these changes are important in order to better educate new players, and make sure they head out into the universe better equipped to deal with its challenges!

First time users will experience the Tutorial plus a completely new onboarding experience:

Taking a player through their first two matches
Upgrading a card
Completing quests
Gaining Card XP

Sound Effects

We’re excited to bring more SFX to the game, including some iconic new dialogue lines for the most feared enemies the Doctor has faced …

Davros
First Cybermen
Telosian Controller
Imperial Dalek — EX-TER-MIN-ATE!
