## What is Document Scanner & Translate?

The scanner that translates. Scan any paper document, save it as PDF, Word or Excel, then translate the whole file — with the layout kept.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Scan Point the camera at a page — edges are detected, the page is straightened and enhanced automatically. Scan up to 50 pages in one go, or import photos from your gallery. Keep everything in folders and find any scan by the text inside it — scanning, folders and search are free with no limits.

Convert Save as PDF, or turn scans into editable Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF or TXT. Tables come out as real spreadsheet tables, not pictures.

Extract text OCR for printed text in 120+ languages and handwriting in 10+.

Translate Translate a full PDF, Word or Excel file and get the same file back in another language — formatting, tables and columns stay where they were.

Edit PDFs Tap any word in a PDF and change it. Add text, move it, resize it — no conversion needed.

Ask Ask questions about a document and get answers, summaries and key points.

Listen Turn any document into audio and play it with the screen locked.

Your scans are stored on your device. Cloud processing is used only for OCR, translation, AI answers and audio — files are processed and not retained. No account required.

SUBSCRIPTION

Scanning, folders, search and ZIP are free with no limits. Pro unlocks saving as PDF, conversion to Word, Excel and text, OCR, translation, PDF editing, AI answers, audio and RAR extraction.

Pro is available as a weekly, monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate beyond belief

My handwriting is rather neat, I just wanted to be able to easily take documents that I wrote years ago & quickly put them into word documents for my computer. 90% of the words vanished in their “conversion” & what did appear was in the wrong format & horribly misspelled. Not even 1 word in the entire document was actually done correctly!!! Go elsewhere!!!

The handwriting engine you tested was replaced in 2025 with a new recognition system — accuracy on neat handwriting is now a different story, and printed text works in 120+ languages. a very useful app, my handwriting is terrible but it still picks up most of it. I definitely recommend installing. side note I had some issues getting the free exports and I contacted customer service they responded within hours and fixed the problem. I am definitely going to purchase the premium soon it's well worth it.

Вылезает в рекламе, в самой первой ссылке по поиску приложений по распознаванию рукописного текста. Но ничего не работает. Каждые 5 секунд вылезают подряд две рекламы. Но даже после них ничего не происходит. Хорошая идея, отвратительное исполнение. Если вы хотите, что приложение покупали, то покажите хотя бы что оно может.

Идея очень классная. Я ищу приложение которая позволит сканировать рукописный текст и конвертировать его в печатный. Но это приложение не дает даже загрузить фотографию, постоянно предлагает купить платную подписку, хотя должны действовать первые три пробных дня, но кнопка чтобы активировать их не работает. Приложение постоянно показывает рекламу и пытается вывести на спам розыгрыши. Никаких заявленных функций не увидела...

The OCR was somewhat accurate. Not the best but not the worst. However, I had a 3 day free trial and on the 2nd day they charged me for the yearly subscription before my trial was even up. Kinda shady.

**Developer response:** That shouldn't happen — trials are handled by Apple and the charge only goes through when the trial ends. If you were billed early, Apple refunds these at reportaproblem.apple.com, and our live chat in the app can walk you through it. Today the trial is 7 days, the dates are shown before you confirm, and scanning itself is free without any trial.

No one should download this because these guys are deceitful. It doesn't scan anything. It simply asks you to pay then gives you a blank screen if you don't.

**Developer response:** Fair criticism of the 2019 version. Since then scanning has been made completely free — camera, auto-crop, folders and search, no paywall, no trial. Paid features are the ones on top: conversion to Word and Excel, translation, PDF editing. If you're still on iOS, it's worth a second look — and there's live chat in the app if anything doesn't work as expected.
