Promo said it was 0.00 lifetime, but tried to bill $1.99 weekly rate

The promotion you’re referring to was limited and subject to App Store eligibility rules. In some cases, the offer may no longer be available when attempting to redeem it.

All purchases are clearly shown by Apple before confirmation, and refunds can be requested directly through Apple if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and are improving how offers are presented in the app.

This app was offered on AppAdvice daily on December 12. I went through the onboarding process and chose the lifetime free option, but it set me up on a weekly subscription.

There is more ads then function in the app. Don’t bother installing, you will have to go thru 10 ads  before you can even make 1 click.

AppAdvice offered this app for free lifetime subscription today. When you go into the app, it does show that you can get a free lifetime subscription, but when you actually click to give it your Apple ID, it tries to charge you for a recurring subscription

This is obviously a huge scam where they’re trying to get people to sign up thinking they’re getting it for free and then they get charged a recurring subscription rate . Zero stars for this scammy developer and shame on you for stealing from people.

**Developer response:** We’re sorry for the frustration caused. The lifetime promotion was time-limited and eligibility-based, and may not apply to all accounts at the time of redemption. Pricing and confirmation are always handled by Apple before any charge is made. If a purchase was made unintentionally, Apple can issue a refund. Thank you for sharing your concerns.
