They indicated I needed to upgrade the app. True. I did. I like the fact there are new filters. The default should be colour like a true copy—not black and white. The rotation problem is not fixed. No matter how I hold my iPad, the page turns sideways and I can’t see the edges because of the app information on the page. Back to 4-star. Still not 5. :( UPDATE: MARCH 2022. Not sure what they did with this app. When I open it up, the documents are all rotated and it takes a bad photo, not a true scan. It looks like a 15th generation photocopy from the 80s. Will not use again unless they fix it. If an update was done recently, it was a bad move. OLD REVIEW: I have an iPad so I love the ability to create accurate, quick PDF files anytime, anywhere. The app auto-selects the document and instantly creates a PDF. Within 15 seconds I have it moved to my personal folders on my iPad. It’s great thank you for fixing all the issues. 5 Stars! Update: this is an update after working with this app for twenty minutes. It now appears to be working fine. It just took a while to download and an additional 5 to 10 minutes to select the pro version. It was very frustrating. I have not actually use the app because it was too much work to begin with. I will only give it four stars just for the aggravation I had to put up with. But I am hopeful that will work okay. (1st review: I downloaded the app because it was free with a free lifetime pass but after it was downloaded it would not open. It would not let me select it to delete. I had to go through the phones system to delete. After deleting re-downloaded the app and it still wouldn’t open. Just focus your camera over a well exposed paper document lying over a flat surface and rest of the work will be done by this app. At the end one need to choose the format they want to export either document format .PDF or image format .JPG. Developers did a great job to build this app and achieved automaticity within app which is near to perfection yet app needs to learn a lot more. I hope and wish this app to learn and grow by maintaining this simplicity and automaticity. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Mostly just a Toy *2022-07-07, version 5.6.0* This is fine for scanning single pages but as soon as you want to scan a multi-page document this app is extremely slow and frequently exits so that you need to start again. It has the look and feel of a scanning app but it is really just a toy. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2021-05-19* I had some difficulties with every function and this does not work or have OCR function like shown. I had scanned App does not do what is shown in the video and can’t convert documents or export and ask for every view every time the app is launched. Do not buy! and saved files and they disappeared so this app malfunctions and I’m deleting it **Developer response:** I'm sorry that you decided to leave a negative review which is completely false - just take a look at all of the other positive reviews. The app has an OCR function, it exports to PDFs, files are saved correctly and the app works just fine. I do not believe your review to be genuine, however if you are encountering issues then please contact us at support@scanstudio.app to see if we can help. ### 1/5 — Needs internet connection every time to restore purchase *2021-02-15* Need to fix this because I am not able to use the software when I am not connected to the internet. Keeps telling me to purchase, when I already have a paid version.
