## What is Documented?

Documented is a private record of how you show up for your kids.

Log what happened (a handoff, a missed exchange, a first sentence, a doctor's visit) and it is sealed the second you save it. Time captured automatically. Place attached if you want it. Nothing you can quietly rewrite later, which is exactly what makes it worth something.

WHY SEALED MATTERS

A note you typed months after the fact is a memory. A record made at the time is a different thing.

Every entry gets a SHA-256 fingerprint linked to the entry before it. Change one character and the chain no longer matches, and the app tells you. Edits can't be hidden. That's what tamper-evident means.

Separately, each entry's fingerprint is sent to an independent Time-Stamping Authority, which signs a statement that it existed at that moment. The stamp is requested the moment the entry seals, and if your phone is offline it's obtained as soon as you reconnect. Only the fingerprint leaves your phone, never your words, your photos, your children's names, or where you were. A fingerprint can't be turned back into your content.

BUILT FOR HOW THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS

Thirty seconds, one-handed, in a car park, before you forget. Write it, tag it, seal it.

• Log notes, photos, videos, voice memos, receipts, and message screenshots
• Tag which child, and which co-parent, each moment involved
• Automatic timestamp and optional GPS, captured rather than typed
• Corrections are amendments: the original stays, the correction sits beside it
• Search and filter by child, category, or date

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

No account. No sign-up. No password. Documented opens straight into your record.

Your entries stay on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud storage if you turn sync on. We can't read them. Your co-parent is never contacted, never notified, and never given access. Naming someone in your record is a label on your record, nothing more.

WHAT IT COSTS

Documented is a subscription, with a 7-day free trial. The subscription is the app, not an add-on to it.

Included, with no limits of any kind: writing new entries, sealing them, the independent timestamp, photos, videos, voice memos and receipts, iCloud sync of your own record, search, filtering, amendments, the PDF export, and encrypted sharing with your attorney. No entry limit. No attachment limit. No storage tier.

Free, whether you subscribe or not: reading, searching and verifying everything already in your record. Nothing you have sealed is ever locked away from you, and if a trial ends without a purchase the record becomes read-only rather than closed.

People who installed Documented before this change keep their original free terms permanently.

WHEN YOU NEED TO PRODUCE IT

Your whole record becomes one PDF, ready to hand to your attorney: every entry in order, with its seal, an integrity statement, and your attachments. Any single entry can go on its own. You can send that record to your attorney encrypted on your device, to a key only they hold.

A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS

Documented is a record-keeping tool. We're not a law firm and we don't give legal advice. Whether any record is accepted is decided by a judge under the rules of evidence where you live. What we can do is make sure that when you wrote something down, it's provable that you wrote it down then, and that nobody, including you, quietly changed it since.

If something is on the line, talk to a licensed attorney in your state.

### 1/5 — All over the place?

*2026-10-18*

This is one of the most confusing parenting apps.
After looking at the reviews I figured it would be worth it, but the Apple reviews seem very forced and unreal🤦🏽‍♂️

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and we’re sorry the app felt confusing. Documented does one thing: it keeps a dated, timestamped record of what happens with your kids, so it’s ready to hand to your attorney if you ever need it. If something wasn’t clear, like where to start or what an entry is for, we’d really like to know which part. Email us at support@documented.co and we’ll walk you through it, and we’ll use what you tell us to make it simpler for the next parent.

### 5/5 — Wish I had this years ago

*2026-10-08*

When first going through my divorce and child custody, this app would have been everything I needed in one place instead of “hearsay” and scrambled on documents that weren’t worth anything in court. This app allows all things to be documented with photos, locations, and notes in real time.

**Developer response:** It's fantastic to hear that this app has made such a positive impact on your organization and documentation needs during a challenging time! Your insights about its comprehensive features are invaluable, and it's wonderful to know you found it useful for your situation. Thank you for sharing your experience!

### 5/5 — Roadblocks No More!!!

*2026-10-08*

I’ve been dealing with a very nasty family court situation for about a year now. If your experience is like mine, I’ve learned a large part of my attorney fees are time spent discussing timelines, specific dates and various other details that are mentally taxing to keep track of.

I’m also convinced these family court attorneys don’t really care who “wins”. They just want to remain on the clock. This app cuts right through that and keeps EVERYONE accountable.

Since downloading this app, the game has changed and I’m confident it would significantly help anyone who uses it. It’s user friendly beyond measure, which is nice for me and my lack of technological prowess.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! We know how overwhelming it can be to keep track of everything during an already stressful family court situation. Hearing that Documented has helped you feel more organized, confident, and in control is exactly why we built it. We're truly grateful for your support and wish you all the best moving forward.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2026-09-20*

I pay for the subscription, and for some reason everytime I try to generate a pdf the app freezes then crashes. Very inconvenient.

**Developer response:** We’re really sorry you ran into this. We found the issue causing PDF exports to crash and have pushed a fix that should be live today. Thank you for flagging it, and we appreciate your patience.

### 4/5 — Love it! But could use additional options!

*2026-09-10*

I’m just trying out this app for the first time but I really like it so far! It definitely makes record keeping much simpler and faster! It could use some additional options though for the categories and family set-up. Additional categories such as: FaceTime calls, missed visits, etc. would be great. It would be even better to be able to create your own additional categories to go along with the auto-generated options. It would be nice if the “family & set-up” section included supervisors for those families that require supervised visitation.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review Kate! We are going to incorporate your ideas in the coming week and get it live. Great suggestions! If you have any other ideas for the product please let us know.

### 5/5 — Receipts for co-parenting. Worth every second

*2026-09-03*

Finally an app that treats parenting records the way they should be treated. Sealed the moment you write them, independently stamped, and completely private. It’s fast enough to use in the parking lot before pickup. Simple, fast and trustworthy just what I needed.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this incredible review! You described exactly what we set out to build: a simple, secure way for parents to document what matters, right when it happens. Knowing that Documented is making a difference in your everyday life means everything to our team. We're so grateful for your trust and support!

### 5/5 — So simple

*2026-08-23*

I’ve only been using this app for a few days but I love how simple it is to log events and keep track of my parenting and how I show up.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! We love hearing that Documented is making it easier to capture the moments that matter. Parenting takes so much effort, and it's just as important to document the things you're doing right. We're grateful to be part of your journey and really appreciate your support!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.8 — 2026-10-13

What’s new
You shouldn’t have to remember everything on your own. This update makes it easier to write it down, even on the hardest days.

Bring the texts in
The messages you’ve been screenshotting late at night now come straight into your record. Scroll through a conversation and Documented captures it, or send it over with a Shortcut. No retyping, and no digging through your camera roll later.

Write it down while it’s fresh
A missed pickup. A great weekend. A phone call that left you shaken. Start a new entry in one tap from your Home Screen widget or by asking Siri, before the details start to fade.

Tell the whole story in one entry
Give an entry more than one category, add several photos at once, and every photo keeps the time it was actually taken.

A record you can stand behind
Long entries now print in full in your PDF, and your summary stays accurate when you correct a category. Your record stays complete and organized, ready to hand to your attorney.

A gentler start
New to Documented? We walk you through your first entry, one step at a time. If your attorney’s firm has given you a seat, it now unlocks the app straight away. Setup is also easier to read at larger text sizes.

### 1.2.7 — 2026-10-06

What's new in 1.2.7

• New export flow. Choose the dates, entries and contents in five clear steps, preview your PDF, then share it or email it straight to your attorney.
• Summary page. Every PDF now opens with a one-page summary of your record, with charts.
• Connect your attorney in one place. Set it up once in Settings and your record is shared with them automatically, so there's no more sending it every time.
• Works without a connection. Save entries in Airplane Mode or while iCloud is unavailable. They join your record and get their independent timestamp once you're back online.
• Fix what we read. If a conversation screenshot was read wrong, correct the text, and your PDF updates to match.
• Stronger Face ID lock. The lock screen now appears before anything else when the app opens.
• Smarter reminders. No reminder on days you've already logged, and a clear message if notifications are turned off.
• No lost access over a failed payment. If a renewal payment fails, you keep access while Apple retries it.
• Clearer corrections in exports, a new launch screen, and many smaller fixes and improvements.

### 1.2.6 — 2026-09-30

A new home for your record
Your timeline has a new layout: a week strip, a clear line of entries, and filters for people, category and date you can reach easily.

Better filters
Pick more than one category at a time, or set your own start and end dates. The Record screen has the same filters, and your PDF export covers exactly the dates you choose.

Protecting an entry
Protecting an entry now plays a short sequence and ends on the finished record, with its trusted timestamp. If protecting fails, your entry stays safe and you can try again.

Smoother and faster
Photos load and share without the app freezing.
Swiping back from a record works more reliably.
Big records open and check themselves faster.

Fixes
A date you picked could sometimes show as the day before. Fixed.
A photo chosen from your library is now labelled as imported, never as taken in the app.
Tapping anywhere in the note box brings up the keyboard.
Screen readers now read sheet titles and close buttons clearly.
Other Bug Fixes.

### 1.2.5 — 2026-09-22

Bug fixes.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-09-19

Faster start. The welcome and setup screens load quicker, and the pause before your record opens is shorter. Small fixes throughout.
