Is it for money? Because it certainly isn’t to improve the product. It worked well before, it’s now very user unfriendly. ### 1/5 — Unresponsive and clunky *2021-01-09, version 4.3.702* The latest version of this app is slow to the point of being unusable. Selections made on tabs take so long you think your iPad has frozen. Scrolling between pages takes four or five seconds so you keep trying and end up in a totally different place. Nothing wrong with the old layout, this new layout and navigation is shocking. ### 1/5 — Backward Upgrade *2020-12-28, version 4.3.702* Just two points of many: the title pages keep disappearing from the top line making it difficult to switch frequently between different documents; you have to tap the screen and then wait for the titles to reappear. Secondly, the automatic scrolling feature in settings does not appear to work: I keep having to tap to continue reading after very short sections ### 1/5 — Terrible last updates *2020-12-22* Absolutely terrible after the last 3 updates with this new form. The previous form was way better. This one crashes and freezes all the time. Just one example: some of the touch targets are so small and next to other stuff that does different things, that using it in turbulence becomes almost impossible. Are the authors aware that a fair amount people have to use this app in the air? Very difficult to navigate documents, layout does not seem to be logical. And since iOS 14.1 was released, it does not work. ### 1/5 — Don’t update *2020-11-13, version 4.3.644* If you can avoid updating the app then avoid, the latest version has a worse layout (looks blocky as if done by a high school student) and vastly inferior navigation, now you can’t swipe left to right to change pages and have to tap on these little buttons which are so hard to find. Plus the old annoying feature of the navigation pane disappearing all the time when in portrait mode is still present and even more frustrating when you need it more due to not being able to swipe through the pages. Shocking update. ### 1/5 — Safety issue *2020-11-11, version 4.3.644* I have used this for some time now and have found it to be so unusable in a work time critical environment that I am considering reporting this to CHIRP and the CAA as a human factors issue. Roll it back to the previous version and ask someone who uses it daily to help your team design it to be Simple quick and easy to use. The LAST thing that is needed in modern commercial jet transport is more complexity. ### 1/5 — I can’t open the app *2020-11-08, version 4.3.644* I used to use this app all the time, but now every time I try it closes immediately ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very poor *2026-05-18, version 4.8.3* There’s been a bug in this app for months where it freezes and locks up for 5 seconds or more after making a selection in the sidebar or completing an action. There’s also a bug whereby selecting a search result will result in a completely different page loading and the link has to be reselected. Much improvement needed! ### 1/5 — Disappointing update *2025-10-27, version 4.8.3* Everything was fine, then came 4.8.3. ### 1/5 — Once worked on Mac. No longer *2024-03-24, version 4.8* The app does not work on an M1 Mac. It used to wok fine, and I know how easy it is to get working on an M1. All highlights are recorded and included with any bookmarks under annotations, making it difficult to differentiate bookmarks from passage highlights. Attempting to use the app on a Macbook is useless. Now it keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. Tried deleting and reinstalling it but still crashing. ### 4/5 — Needs updating to support iPad Pro screen *2020-05-31, version 3.5.1* No real problems with this app, it just needs updating to make use of the screen size of the iPad Pro. I would however like to request a feature for the next update. I feel forced to use the app in landscape mode as it is the only way to keep the contextual menu from remaining visible. When the iPad is turned into its natural portrait position, one has to keep clicking on the contextual menu icon to keep it visible. Each time a selection is made in a sub-menu, it causes the menu to disappear. ### 3/5 — Its ok *2024-11-20, version 4.8.3* Dark mode needs a overhaul. It makes pictures all weird.
