Now that they are being phased out, this is the best alternative. I am just hoping that their max limit will go beyond 100 inches and be less buggy by having missing pages **Developer response:** Please update to the latest version. The limit has been increased to 200 inches, and export-related fixes have been included. ### 4/5 — Good poster printing tool *2026-01-23, version 2.24* This is a good, free, poster printing tool. For me tho, not particularly intuitive, and took quite some time commitment to get the outcome that I wanted. ### 4/5 — Neat, with room for improvement *2025-05-24* First, kudos for making this a free app. Second, even though it’s an iPad app, it actually works very nicely on the Mac, albeit with limitations that betray its iPad origin. Unfortunately, the printing is done with raster images in mind; I needed to print a PDF map to a large format and it ended up not being the right tool for the job. Acrobat Reader no longer offers this tiling for free (shame on you Adobe, you greedy cheapskates) but the free Foxit PDF reader did the job nicely. I think Docuslice can be easily updated to do just as good a job if not better with vector files, but for the time being (mid 2025) it should be reserved to raster files. ### 4/5 — Works good *2025-05-15* Wish it told us how big the image was going to be ### 5/5 — Great *2025-02-15* This app worked great and it's free! What a nice deal! ### 4/5 — Nice experience, but crashes with PDFs *2024-08-05* I found this as I wanted to print a birthday banner on my home printer, across 20 pages. Tried to print a 12MB PDF on a 6 page test, but it crashed on importing every time. However, I then tried exporting from Canva as a photo, and printed that. The same image as a 24MB PNG exported and printed immediately, so it worked in the end. ### 4/5 — So far, pretty good *2024-07-27* Played around for about 20 minutes. One thing the dev can do to really make this a 5 star app is to be aware of landscape mode on the device, especially on iPads with Magic Keyboards. While “compatible” with iPads, programs that don’t acknowledge that the device is being used in landscape mode really annoy me, as I use my iPad more as a laptop than handheld. Otherwise, it seems it will get the job done that I needed to do. **Developer response:** Landscape mode is now supported. Give it a try ✅ ### 5/5 — Works Great - Customizable *2024-05-02* Yes there’s ads but not an overwhelming amount. I only got one when I saved the pdfs/images, and if you want to get rid of the watermark you also just watch an ad. Other than that it works really great and is very customizable and user friendly. Enjoy! ### 5/5 — Model plane plans *2023-12-16, version v1.8.28* When my Mac updated to the latest software, Adobe reader, would not print out in a tiled format. I looked round for a similar application and came across Docuslice. I must say it has proved very useful and I have now produced five plans using it. It would be useful if there was some way of finding out the scale of the plan before it is divided up to A4 sheets. Filled out the sign up form and keep getting an error message. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear that. There have been few incidents where few users experience error during sign-up. Requires an account and a sign-in (Use a ten-minute email service). WATERMARKS your poster unless you watch stupid in-app video ads. **Developer response:** Appreciate your comment! We’ve listened to user feedback — the watermark has now been completely removed. Does interface with my MacBook Air Photos App as a tiling solution, but lacks a good printer interface with page setup control. I can’t play the ad so can’t remove watermark. My privacy settings may prevent viewing ads. Guess I have to find another way to create posters. I do not wish to give up my privacy by becoming the product. Would like to have a free version without ads and the ability to remove watermark. This would be a 5 star app and I will change my review. Maybe a work around to playing the ad that doesn’t give up privacy. I refuse to use any app that will not protect privacy.
