Anyone who knows or has studied a foreign language other than English is given this basic instruction. For example the hat in Spanish is Sombrero, however it would be taught as EL sombrero. This later helps in conjugation or use in basic sentences for the future. The images are sometimes hard for a toddler to decipher since they’re so cartoonish. Also it’s annoying that you can’t go back to a card you saw previously — no matter what way you swipe, it goes to the next card. I haven’t found any options in settings to change that. He loves the pictures and voice, and I like that he’s seeing the written words and is associating them with the pictures while we say the word out loud together.
