## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nope

*2025-09-28, version 1.3.1*

This is ridiculous. It told me that my Australian cattle dog mix was a cane corso…. She is 30 pounds. I tried various other photos but it kept giving me very different results. I do not recommend this app.

### 1/5 — Poor identification

*2025-03-15, version 1.3.1*

I set my Alaskan
Malamute Was a cat

### 1/5 — Not even close

*2024-06-21, version 1.3.1*

ID’d a Chihuahua as 30% cat??? Purebred Goldendoodle showed 20% pitbull, other known breeds came up equally incorrect, but it is a free app & does say it’s only 30% accurate.

### 1/5 — does not quite work

*2023-12-02*

I guess it works if you have purebred dog, but than you know it anyways.

I tried 8 different clear pics of my dog before i got a 31% match and it wasn t even a breed thats in my dog…

nice idea but i guess its hard by pictures to make it work…

### 1/5 — Crazy

*2023-11-25, version 1.3.1*

This app is absolutely crazy. Not in a good way. Every single pic I try of a puppy, the breed comes out to be “*percentage* Cat”. Be so serious

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-06-11, version 1.3.1*

Not even close. We know our dog is Australian Shepherd and then either poodle or other shepherd. She is large. This app claims she is all little dogs like cavapoo. No mention of Australian Shepherd.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate!

*2022-06-26, version 1.3.1*

I loaded pictures of my 2 dogs separately and each time it was totally wrong!!! One was a pure bred and the other was a very popular mixed breed! Not even close!

### 1/5 — Not even close

*2022-02-09, version 1.3.1*

Our puppies mom is a Shorkie but we had no idea what the dad was and this was still not even close, didn’t seem possible

### 1/5 — Hope this will be good

*2021-04-19*

We would like to get a dog one day, so we got this app. Haven’t tried it yet, as we don’t have a dog yet. I hope that we will keep my iPad long enough to use this app!

**Developer response:** Hello,
Thank you for the review!
How can we improve, to make you update the rating to 5 stars?

### 2/5 — I mean…

*2024-09-10, version 1.3.1*

Every pic id upload would give different results. 9 lb long hair Chihuahua mix: I’m getting golden retriever, fox terrier, goldendoodle .. can we do find an app that does better? Isn’t this the year of Ai?

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Spot on!

*2023-09-12, version 1.3.1*

My puppy’s DNA came back 29% (biggest chunk) American Pit Bull Terrier. Exactly what was predicted by this app!!

### 5/5 — dog

*2022-05-16, version 1.3.1*

we did a dna test on my dog and she is 40% american pit bull terrier.
this is the first scanner to detect american pit bull terrier on not just one, but five different pictures of my dog. i am very impressed.
other dogs i scanned were also very accurate.

### 4/5 — 1 breed

*2024-04-08, version 1.3.1*

It’s amazing at finding and know for sure that the dog is 1 breed it’s not as good with mixes but it has to be above 30% to be accurate and you need a good picture other than that this app is amazing

### 3/5 — Please show more work

*2025-01-05, version 1.3.1*

Please include showing of predictions in a history page.

### 2/5 — Can’t Read Harlequin Great Dane

*2023-07-20, version 1.3.1*

Every time I scan my harlequin (black and white spotted) Great Dane it comes up as 99% Dalmatian. He is DNA-tested 100% Great Dane. I have tried all different pictures and it continues to do this. Please expand your understanding of this breeds coloring.

It does correctly scan my Saint Bernard.

### 2/5 — Wrong every time

*2022-07-28, version 1.3.1*

I’ve had the app about a week. I live a busy beach boardwalk, filled with dogs. I’ve always asked permission to photo dogs, and their owners have alwaya perfectly posed them. Not once was the breed, or any of the other breeds that make up the breed has been correct. Gonna try one that doesn’t call a Siberian a Beagle with austalian pinscher influences.
