### 3/5 — Good but too many adds

*2022-07-25, version 2.2.40*

This game is super fun in the beginning when they give you all twenty energies. But after you run out you have to watch an add to get more or wait five minutes for one energy. And one energy does not go very far in this game. It’s great but maybe reload it every thirty seconds or every minute at most because right now it could take a little less than two hours to reload the whole energy bar.

### 3/5 — A bit disappointed

*2021-08-12, version 2.2.40*

This game has potential but sadly it’s just not there yet and it’s a shame because I love doggos but this game isn’t good.

### 4/5 — Great, but I have some suggestions

*2021-04-08*

The overall idea of this game is great!! I love dogs so much! I also really like the cute pixel art. It is SO FRICKIN ADORABLE LIKE WHAT.
However, it gets boring after some time, because it’s waiting, then doing tasks. Then waiting, then doing the same tasks. Then waiting, and I think you get the idea. There are lots of things you could do to make this game AMAZING! It has so much potential!
My suggestions: (sorry if u already have one of these ‘cause maybe you do I dunno I didn’t get terribly far in the game)
1. Multiple shelters in different cities!
2. More dog breeds would be really fun! (Maybe a capybara, too. Maybe. Maaaaybbeeee.)
3. Maybe you could also rescue pregnant dogs, and then you have to take care of and adopt out the puppies!
4. If you could decorate your shelter, then it would definitely add another great element to the game!

Thanks for reading this review, I’ll be thrilled if you use any of my suggestions!

### 4/5 — Good *UPDATED*

*2020-10-03, version 2.2.35*

Its really fun and cute I kinda wish there were more spaces for kennels (and that energy wasn’t a thing I have to watch ads to do stuff) but either way fun and good 🙂 UPDATE there is a frigging load of ads but turns out you CAN get more dogs after they r adopted. controls are slightly bad but again cool & addictive

### 3/5 — Bug

*2020-09-01, version 2.2.18*

It doesn’t let me dispatch at all and your help thing isn’t helpful it doesn’t make sense

### 3/5 — Okay but..

*2020-08-13*

I’ve been playing for a while and it’s getting harder to save up money. I believe the dogs that take 2+-4+ minutes to do something should be adopted for more money. I find myself looking for the strays instead of the boxers and such just because they take less time and make the same amount of money,,

Please change this!

### 4/5 — Energy

*2020-08-01, version 2.2.6*

We need easier ways to get energy and more minigames and ways to interact with the dogs but overall a solid game

### 4/5 — Great game but not enough content

*2020-06-28, version 2.1.19*

I’ve finished this game in maybe a week, I enjoyed it very much but now I feel a bit disappointed

### 4/5 — Promotes adopt don’t shop and PETA :(

*2020-06-14*

I love this game but it can get pretty boring after awhile. This game also promotes adopt don’t shop and supports PETA, (which I won’t get into why there is something WRONG with both).
Besides those things I think this game is pretty well made but it can be better, they can make finding the dogs more fun or just make the game more interactive without having to use energies. Plus they can add more dog breeds, what doesn’t make sense though is how stray is a breed? All the dogs are strays technically, you could call them mutts instead or add a more variety with the mutts like some are mixed with the breeds in game. Maybe add more dog breeds too, more large dog breeds and maybe breeds that can come in the shelter with cropped ears or a docked tail :)!

### 4/5 — I like it but...

*2020-06-09, version 2.1.19*

I enjoy the game but I wish there wasn’t those energy points. But if u keep them could u please have like a sleep area or a break area so that u could get more energy points faster.

### 4/5 — Just an idea

*2020-06-08*

This game is great! It has a great message and as a dog owner and soon to be shelter volunteer that is amazing. I think that it could be even better though. Not all dogs are the same. They each have their own likes and dislikes. My idea is adding descriptions for the dogs. The descriptions would have the dog’s breed, gender, likes, dislikes, allergies personality, and maybe even a bit of the dog’s backstory. I love this game and I want to see it continue to grow and be even better. Thanks for making a game with a wonderful message!

### 3/5 — Ads get in the way of fame functions

*2020-05-12, version 2.0.28*

I like this game however the last time I tried to play the ad bar at the bottom of the screen was covering all 3 buttons and I couldn’t see what my dogs needed when I clicked on their kennel

### 4/5 — Good game

*2020-05-07, version 2.0.28*

I finished the whole game within a month. Please add more places to go capture the dogs since I already finished the ones on the map. I love the game, other than already beating it.

### 3/5 — Peta.

*2020-04-29, version 2.0.12*

The game seems fine so far however in your menu there id awareness tab. This is also fine.
What isn’t fine is your inclusion of peta in this section. Peta is well known for killing like 90% of the animals it “rescues” a lot of which were not being abused.

It wastes its money on protest games such a the pokemon black and blue series and fights against pointless things, like pokemon.

Please do a little research on them. Their list of horrendous actions is too long to put into a review. They are not an animal rights organisation. They are the bad vegans with no time on their hands who this its ok to put their cats on vegan diets. (Which btw is in and of itself, abuse.)

I genuinely don’t know if i want to continue to play this game. I’m sure it’s a simple case of ignorance and not a malicious form or peta propaganda.

### 3/5 — Needs more

*2020-04-24, version 2.0.10*

It’s an adorable game but it really has no point. You just keep rescuing dogs, taking care of them, then adopting them out. I already got all the kennels within the first day of playing and even upgraded them a few days later.

### 4/5 — Simple

*2020-04-18, version 2.0.10*

Cute game but, very simplistic. Not necessarily a bad thing however, there isn’t much to do and it gets a little repetitive. I love the style of the game and see a lot of potential for expansion.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sad

*2020-11-01, version 2.2.36*

I just got the game and it won’t open

### 1/5 — :(

*2020-09-23, version 2.2.28*

Wouldn’t even open ill update when it opens

### 1/5 — Adopt dont shop propaganda

*2020-03-15, version 2.0.7*

Game had alot of potential if the detrimental slogan of “adopt dont shop” wasnt on here. It isxa toxic mob mentality that shames reputable breeders who breed for purpose and meaning, while backyard breeders are the main culprits in filling up shelters. The appropriate slogan should be adopt OR shop. I will never support PETA/ARA fanatics.

### 1/5 — Not good gameplay but I LOVE the art and animations

*2020-02-25*

The very beginning after the tutorial is all a waiting game. Build kennels, wait for the crew to get the dog, put the dog in the kennel, repeat the same 4 tasks over and over (1 min each unless you use energy) to reach 100% with the dog and then it can have a home. and then rinse and repeat. Feels so slow and repetitive, I was hoping there was more I could do. Besides wait or do the tasks at the cost of something limited (energy).

On the bright side, I love the pixel art for this game. It’s cute, it has nice mini game art and animations and dog animations and it feels very close to McPixel type stuff.

Maybe if the tutorial extended into taking care of the dog to 100% and then being adopted but I guess that would spoil the fun if you saw it all in one go?

### 2/5 — Forces you to watch ads constantly

*2021-10-12, version 2.2.40*

I don’t mind when a game lets you choose to watch an ad in exchange for something. But forcing ads whenever you interact with the dogs is just annoying and not fun for the player.

### 2/5 — The energy rate is not great

*2020-06-02, version 2.1.19*

It takes so long to fill up your energy and then it’s gone in like 3 minutes

### 2/5 — Feels Manipulative

*2020-05-25*

The game play itself is okay if you like this genre. A little boring maybe? I think the typical mobile game greed that would otherwise be completely accepted in a different game comes off as very distasteful in this type of game, I’d rather have to buy the game and be done with it.

However I think my biggest gripe with the game is the information it offers about how to help dogs in shelters. Obviously this would normally be a very nice and helpful gesture but I was VERY disappointed to find that they listed PETA as a helpful charity. Anyone with a good internet connection can look up PETA and find that they’re a cutthroat devious company that actively torments animals rather than helps them. They don’t care about animals. They care about money. If the game is going to endorse PETA, I can’t trust any of the other groups they promote.

### 2/5 — Kind of really boring

*2020-03-12, version 2.0.7*

Cute to begin with and a really great concept. There’s just NOTHING to do but wait. And there’s not enough reward for all that waiting.

### 2/5 — Adopt?!?!?!?

*2020-01-17, version 2.0.3*

Pretty good game. But how do you adopt?!?

### 2/5 — Cute, but very lacking the further you get.

*2019-11-17*

This game has a lot of potential. The graphics and idea are very cute, and I appreciate that it raises awareness, but the substance of the game is very lacking. The further you get into the game the longer you have to wait for things, and most of the time these waits have the worst “payoff” in the game. It’s very annoying to wait 1+ hours waiting for your rescue crew to round up a dog, only to find it’s a stray you could have easily found in zone 1 while waiting 5 minutes. Completing the breed codex is one of the motivations to keep playing past all the upgrades, and honestly this wait time + bad payoff makes me want to uninstall and not waste my time anymore.
But again, the awareness is a cool idea and the graphics are cute so I’ll give it two stars for that.

### 5/5 — ........

*2021-01-07, version 2.2.36*

DOGS R DA BEST!!! CHIMKIN FOR LIFE

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-08-31, version 2.2.18*

I really like this game! I’ve been looking for a dog shelter game for a while and I finally found a good one! This is really cute and the dogs are adorable, so far my favourite is the German Shepherd. The only thing I wish was in the game was that you had to try and match up dog personalities with their possible new owners, and all dogs had personalities. The energy is annoying too, but overall this game is awesome!

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2020-06-02, version 2.1.19*

I really like this game. Please come out with a new map! I have finished the first map completely and finished everything in the game so far. Please update soon

### 5/5 — Fix The Speed Up Petting

*2020-05-26, version 2.1.19*

I love this game but there are some things that need fixing. One fix the speed up petting because it's not working for me and also could you add an option to get more kennels?

### 5/5 — Love this game you must get it

*2020-05-18*

This game is super fun, because you can take care of all kinds of dog breeds. You can walk them, feeds them, wash them, play with them, and when you get the dogs love to 100 they get adopted by a family that will love them forever, this game isn’t just a game. You can find a animal shelter near you to adopt a real dog in real life, that is another thing I love about this game. You must get this game it is a must have, but of course there is a flaw the Energy that you have gets to low to fast I wish the energy level was higher so I could play longer other than that a good game.

### 5/5 — Really awesome!

*2020-05-07*

I think the game is basic yes, but the breeds of dogs are different and therefore it kinda feels fresh :) my only two complaints are that I dont want to see my doggies leave :( I grew too fond of them lol. That and the watch a video option won’t work for me. i have a suggestion for the game too! Make a feature where you can build and upgrade a house and you can have the option pf adopting dogs as well :) also maybe design a character and be able to buy stuff for your dogs and characters.

### 5/5 — LOVE IT

*2020-04-29, version 2.0.12*

it’s so cute and amazing teaching your kids to adopt dogs. So basic yet perfect

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2020-04-26, version 2.0.12*

I really like the graphics and the relaxing music of this game. It is a very simple game. I wish I could interact with the dogs more tho. I hope they come up with a new version where is more interactive.

### 5/5 — Cured my depression

*2020-04-13, version 2.0.10*

This game was so cute it cured my depression for two weeks until I beat it. Now my depression is back in full force. Please make it longer.
