It only shows you half a sentence from the message and then gives an unreadable link to click. Looks like 100% fraud! There is no way to check the messages through the app. And if you follow the dodgy link it says you have to re-confirm your booking so it's not cancelled. For what was planned as a pleasant experience on a night out this gives entirely unnecessary level of stress through a very unprofessional implementation ### 2/5 — No communication at all *2024-03-06, version 4.3.1* I used this at an airport lounge and went from 61st to 60th in line over 30 mins. Then, suddenly my spot is ready and I have to rush over. If the business using it doesn’t know how, then it’s a poor experience for the users. Recommend places you might not know; 2. Get you tables without queuing or booking. It previously worked perfectly, eg: a table at Padella Borough in 30 minutes beating a 1 hour queue. Since switching to Dojo from Walkup it fails both purposes. All the restaurants are pre-existing ones, not necessarily an issue, however the queue beating never seems to be available any longer, giving only a “book” option. Therefore it is no different to Opentable or Fork, but with less than 10% of the selection. I suspect they are trying to be a competitor to those established brands as they have a payments system for restaurants, however as they lack those other apps selection of venues it is no longer of utility. ### 1/5 — Really bad if you have kids and you’re on date night *2023-02-10, version 3.3.3* The app forces you to be within 2km to join the queue. If the restaurant is popular, that means you have to get there early in order to join the queue. That’s pretty much impossible if you have small kids and need to put them to bed before leaving them with a babysitter. I can’t see how this is an improvement over the option to just book a table. ### 1/5 — A nonsense of an app *2022-10-19, version 3.0.3* This app took my personal details, including phone number, email and name. It has push notifications and has my location. It supposedly has me in a queue that I can’t see but I never seemed to get to the front of. I queried it with their technical support and was told to go and ask the restaurant in person. What is the point in the queueing app if I have to go and ask the restaurant as to when I can come in. There is no need for this app at all. Just go and ask at the restaurant. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in. *2022-10-18, version 3.0.3* The “forgotten password” says it’s sent a link but it doesn’t. I try to log in and it doesn’t accept the details. Avoid like the plague. Still not working. I can’t log in and the forgotten password still doesn’t send a link even though it claims it has. I’m also strongly suspecting all the 5* reviews here are fake. They look false. ### 1/5 — Poor app - doesn’t work *2022-10-16, version 3.0.2* Constantly let down by poor review system. Multiple times I’ve booked a table only to be let down at restaurant and then have my rating downgraded. What’s annoying is the poor quality of support in when I’ve questioned this via the app help. ### 1/5 — Unreliable, doesn’t allow bookings most days *2022-10-06, version 3.0.0* My regular cafe insists on using this app (now called Dojo because it has nothing to do with martial arts), and to be honest I hate the app. Most days it doesn’t allow me to book and just says Queue At Door I have been given the mobile numbers of the cafe staff so I can text them when the app doesn’t work ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Delete my reservation *2025-10-29, version 6.5.0* Not sure what’s happening here, tried to speak to the restaurant instead Dojo deleted my booking along with the deposit I paid. ### 1/5 — Listings not up to date *2025-04-26, version 6.4.0* We made a booking for a restaurant via the App but when we arrived it turned out to have closed down and the building was being refurbished. Clearly the listings are not verified or being kept current even though it showed lots of availability and slots. Could not find a way through the app to let them know about this, and the AI Chatbot was useless. Very let down and ruined our evening. ### 1/5 — Someone should fix this app *2025-03-11, version 6.3.0* So I created a reservation online using the restaurant’s website. Then it suggested I use the app, so I downloaded it, but it’s a bit brain-dead unless you login. So I tried to create an account, and it says that the phone number is already in use. So I try to use the “forgotten password” option, but it says the account doesn’t exist. So they tell you to use the app, but won’t allow you to use it! Absolutely useless! ### 1/5 — Not great *2025-01-17, version 6.2.2* Unable to log in, tells me that my phone and email are already registered, when I choose “forgotten password” option, it says no account registered with those details, very frustrating ### 1/5 — Misleading times *2024-09-15, version 6.1.0* The app gave me an incorrect time. The resultant said they had no tables for 45 mins but the app said 10 mins. The whole premise of the app is to be somewhat correct. Won’t use again and will warn others it is very inaccurate ### 1/5 — Extremely poor experience, OpenTable much superior *2024-09-04, version 6.1.0* Extremely poor UX gives a very amateur feel to the app. Shame to see great restaurants using such a badly constructed app that gives a negative start to the dinning experience. Removed as soon as I could, we almost missed our table due to this app! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t notify you when table ready *2024-05-13, version 5.1.0* Can’t even do it’s one job and let you know when the table is ready. Instead you get that message via text, so if you have app open waiting for a it to notify you and aren’t looking at texts you’ll miss out on a table. ### 1/5 — No time estimate gives it 1 star *2024-05-04, version 5.1.0* Good idea however having no indication if wait time is minutes or hours makes it pointless to plan your time. If there was a long wait, we wouldn’t bother and find find an alternative. If it was short then happy to wait. Last time we used the app, had no idea of how long the wait time was. Ordered food/drinks at another venue and then got a text to say our table was ready.
