You started with a garage, a dream, and a marketing budget.
Dojo Tycoon is a martial arts management simulation where you grow a single rented space into a multi-city franchise empire — one student, one belt, one dojo at a time.

BUILD YOUR ROSTER
Recruit students and watch them train. Each one has a skill level, satisfaction rating, and belt rank that advances through real training time — yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. Earn renown every time a student earns a new belt.

HIRE YOUR TEAM
Take on skilled instructors to handle growing classes. Match their discipline specialty to your students' styles for a satisfaction bonus. Keep your student-to-instructor ratio in check — overcrowded dojos breed unhappy students and higher dropout rates.

CHOOSE YOUR DISCIPLINE
Unlock five martial arts styles, each with its own student archetype, tuition rate, and retention profile:
• Karate — the reliable foundation
• Muay Thai — high energy, high turnover
• BJJ — committed students, slow belt progression
• Judo — steady and dependable
• Taekwondo — fastest belt progressions in the game

GROW YOUR EMPIRE
Progress through four dojo stages:
• Garage — scrappy start, 15 students max
• Strip Mall — real space, real money, 30 students
• Academy — full facility, four instructor slots, 60 students
• Franchise — the dream, 80 students, city-wide reputation

MANAGE YOUR FINANCES
Balance tuition income against rent, utilities, insurance, instructor salaries, and marketing spend. Watch your cash flow daily. If you spend 30 consecutive days in the red, the bank calls in your debt — game over.

RANDOM EVENTS
Rival dojos open nearby. Local media covers a student's tournament win. A supply shortage hits your gear order. Every few in-game weeks, a narrative event fires that changes the landscape — respond wisely.

ONE-TIME UNLOCK — NO SUBSCRIPTIONS
The base game is free to play. A single $4.99 purchase removes the student cap and unlocks the Strip Mall expansion. No ads. No energy meters. No subscriptions. Pay once, own it.
