I downloaded this, done the face and side scans and then it done absolutely nothing. Have no idea what the point is. iPhone already has this built in and even worked with other earbuds than just apple airpods of any kind. Done nothing, gives no other options to do anything. Complete waste!

When trying to do this when scanning my head it would say low light, I’m standing under a light and it still said this, hate having to jump through so many hoops just to connect a headset.

The First phase of this Application process was the part where you have to turn your head slow to the right and then turn your head the back to the center slowly and then slowly turn your head forward the left and then slowly move your head back to the center again. This process is called the “Personalization” and it was very easy to complete.

I used my gaming headset without the Dolby personalization for a few days just because they sounded fine on their own. Definitely better than my old wired headset. 

I finally got curious about the Dolby personalization so I created an account and tried it out. 

I immediately noticed a difference! 
Before Dolby personalization: the sound profile was neutral with no added definition on the higher frequencies. The eq was flat with a nice bottom end when explosions went off in COD. It was fine but nothing special.

 After Dolby personalization: Waaay more definition on the higher frequencies, while still retaining that low bottom. I could hear footsteps and tire tracks as if they were right below my feet. It was kind of crazy to think so much detail would be magnified by a simple scan of my face and ears. 

So yea, I’d definitely recommend using this app to personalize your ears to your headset. I also had my in game sound output on ‘Cinema’ for the highest dynamic range. Your mileage may vary based on your equipment.
