Agreed, the courses are very polished, but very light on content. The support is nonexistent. If you have a problem there is NO-ONE to reach out to. Their billing strategy for DomestikaPlus is cavalier at best. They will not send a reminder, they wil not warn you, they will just bill you. In many ways, Domestika epitomises all that is wrong with online purchases - dubious quality, no support and cavalier billing practices. I would add that the AI voice over is very poor and the feedback on class projects is AI too. ### 3/5 — Good content, poor user experience *2026-08-20, version 2.122* We’ve found some really good instructors on here, some less so. The student reviews are typically a pretty good guide. My aggravation is the app’s lack of understanding that many of us do NOT want courses in other languages, will NEVER take a course in another language, and do NOT want them to keep emailing us “great new courses” that we get all the way to checkout and have to remember “oh wait - let me make sure this is in English before I buy”. My settings say English. I’ve had to cancel two courses for language when we first started on the app. And yet today I get an email with three “new courses I would like” and two of them are in a foreign language. I doubt we are unique on this? Seems like a simple concept to fix, but instead now I’ve had to just turn off notifications entirely so my daughter doesn’t accidentally purchase again. Frustrating. ### 2/5 — Terrible customer service —all AI *2026-07-21, version 2.121* I got the year subscription and I was supposed to get 12 credits. I only got 10. I’ve tried to communicate with a company over and over However I only get a standard AI response and the issue has never been resolved. I feel like I got ripped off and I don’t have any recourse. You can search about it on the internet. People have excellently described unethical their conduct is. I cancelled it after they got my money and said won’t pay it back. The hefty price of over 500. I will be struggling for the next two weeks because I had not searched enough about this. Il y a ds cours pour tous les goûts! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Highly dissatisfied for dishonesty *2026-08-16, version 2.122* I recently purchased a class with no obvious label that it was secretly opting me in for a $349 annual subscription plan… in fact, I didn’t see any info about it until the charge was made… Apparently this subscription is for credits to get classes as they come, but in no world would I pay for such a subscription when you can buy individual classes when they are on sale… I am beyond furious as they have no working phone support number and they use AI to respond to multiple emails to dispute the subscription… this company cannot function with deceptive marketing.. it is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Sad, because I love the artists they host to teach classes. ### 1/5 — Watch your renewals *2026-08-09, version 2.122* Be very careful when subscribing and cancelling. If you email asking for cancellation they will not cancel your subscription but continue charging you, it happened to me for 2 years. They took out $584 last month. I could not believe it! Domestika refused a refund even though I asked my subscription to be cancelled 2 years ago. I ended up putting a claim through PayPal and am very grateful to them for giving me the refund. ### 1/5 — Do not subscribe for Domestika *2026-08-08, version 2.122* I highly doubt not recommend Domestika. They tricked me to sign up for a course of 1€ and then they deducted a full subscription from my account without any notice. I tried all the ways to return back then money. I even sent them emails but no reply. And they back this up with their policies. On top of all that the content of the courses is very surface level and weak. You can not depend on that only to truly lean new skill ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-08-01, version 2.122* Theo make you buy something cheap and without your consent subscribe you to expensive plans. Don’t download it go to any other app I subscribed to a monthly plan. I cancelled my subscription within a few weeks because I didn’t want to continue cause the platform it’s not good enough for learning the videos don’t even work properly After I had already cancelled, Domestika charged me €317.78 for an annual subscription. I never used Domestika Plus. I never watched a course. I never downloaded anything. My refund was refused, so I have had to open a chargeback with my bank to try to recover my money. There are much better learning platforms with clearer subscription terms and far better customer service. Don’t download this app you will waste your time and money ### 1/5 — Pure scam *2026-07-13, version 2.119* Don’t fall for the free trial”. Not free AT ALL! They will charge you and renew a whole year subscription that you didn’t even pay for to start with. And then, they won’t give your money back because of their “policies”. Why I buy this. I entered my account from an advertisement and searched for a class and it was very cheap I bought it. Then weeks after I saw the bill! They did not help I wrote many times ### 1/5 — Horrible customer service and misleading billing practices. *2026-07-01, version 2.118* I did a trial with Domestika last year and had my credit card on file. I had no idea the subscription would renew for $349 a year. They billed me upon renewal and as soon as I found out about it I reached out to cancel and get a refund. Not only did they provide near zero human interaction on the case, they ended up closing it without resolution. I find the structure of the courses easy and helpful. Some are much more thorough and offer a lot more in the way of extras than others, which can be a little frustrating.
