Location generally recorded throughout the day using the highest level of accuracy supported by your phone (consistent with efficient battery usage).  Location is determined using a combination of GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspots and cell tower locations and then recorded.   Please note that the continuous tracking may have a minor impact on battery life and data usage since location is continuously recorded and saved in the cloud.   The App's applicable location algorithms are designed to minimize battery use.

Separate tools to check (a) Schengen Region status, (b) U.S. substantial presence test, (c) rolling 183 out of 365 day check, (d) Puerto Rico day count testing and (e) U.K. statutory residency test using the U.K. April 6 through April 5 tax year.  

Tools also provided to check location day counts considering only overnight stays or 24 hour periods (for UK, Monaco, Maryland, New Mexico, and other similar jurisdictions).

Audit Defense
Tax jurisdictions are increasingly aggressive in asserting residency — subpoenaing phone records, cell tower data, credit card logs and other items. The burden of proof is on you. Domicile365 generates a cryptographically-signed, contemporaneous record of your physical presence — and now lets you produce a signed PDF that auditors, courts, or opposing counsel can independently verify on Domicile365.com, confirming that your location logs are authentic and have not been altered after the fact.

At the end of the sixty (60) day free trial period, you will be given the opportunity to subscribe to the Domicile365 monthly subscription to continue using the features of the app, which include daily tracking of your location, setting location alerts and access to tracking logs to establish your precise recorded locations.

• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.
• Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to the App, where applicable.

The app seems to work well. I had an issue with the total day count not being correct. Their customer support replied back in a few days and resolved the problem.

Just note if you're traveling that the day counts per state will be more than your total time because of partial days.

**Developer response:** We have reviewed your logs and they are in order.  What happens is if you travel and are in multiple states on the same day, your aggregate state count is going to be higher than your country day count; each visit to a state counts so if you travel through 3 states on a day, you will register 1 day in the U.S. but 3 state day counts.
