About

Dominoes meet Sudoku on one board. Every puzzle is a 9×9 Sudoku grid, but you don't fill it one digit at a time. You place dominoes, two numbers locked together, and both halves have to land correctly. One tile, two constraints, and usually only one square where it can possibly go. If you like Sudoku, you already know the rules. You've just never solved it like this. HOW IT WORKS • The Sudoku rule you know: 1 to 9 once per row, once per column, once per 3×3 box. • The grid starts partly filled. The rest waits in your tray as dominoes. • Work out where each tile belongs, then drop it in. • Three mistakes and the puzzle is over. Finish without a single one for three stars. FIVE DIFFICULTIES Beginner asks you to place 12 dominoes. Pro asks for 27, with far fewer numbers on the board to start from. Intermediate, Advanced and Expert sit in between. Each tier unlocks as you win at the one below, so the ladder opens up at your pace rather than all at once. A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY One daily puzzle, the same board for every player in the world. A calendar marks every day you've solved, keeps your streak, and lets you go back and pick up the days you missed. TOOLS THAT RESPECT YOUR TIME • Notes for pencilling in candidates before you commit. • Hints for when the board stops making sense. • Reorder your tray so the tiles sit the way you think. • Games save themselves. Close the app in the middle of a puzzle and it reopens exactly where you left it. • iCloud keeps your progress, streak and stats in step across iPhone and iPad. • Sound, music and haptics each switch off independently. Play in silence if you like. • A quick tutorial and a full How to Play, both there whenever you want them. NO CONNECTION REQUIRED Puzzles are generated on your device, not downloaded. Play on a plane, on the metro, in a basement. It all works the same. FREE TO PLAY Domidoku is free. Hint packs are there if you want them, and a single purchase removes ads permanently. Nothing is on a timer, and nothing locks you out until tomorrow. Built for iPhone and iPad. Made by Carré. Questions, bugs or ideas: hello@playcarre.com

What's New in Domidoku

1.0.2

Fixes and polish, plus one change worth knowing about. ON IPAD Every screen now scales to the iPad you are actually holding. The tray sits square with the board, the top bar no longer presses against the wooden frame, the shadow under the tray fades away instead of ending on a hard line, and Settings reads as a sheet rather than a wall of oversized bars. STARTING A NEW PUZZLE Beginning a new puzzle, or opening today's Daily, now asks you to be online. A game already in progress still resumes offline, and so does the tutorial. Remove All Ads lifts the requirement entirely. FIXED • Hints bought while a game was open could disappear the moment you spent one. Your balance now stays correct everywhere, including a purchase made on another device. • Remove All Ads is honoured offline. Paying to take the ads away no longer leaves you waiting for a connection. • Continue on the home screen could close the app when there was no saved game. It now sits dimmed until there is one to return to. • When no ad is available, the hint is granted anyway instead of the request quietly failing. • Out of Hints offers all three hint packs, not only the smallest. • Pause no longer breaks the word Intermediate across two lines.
